It means that all the benefit of cutting someone post June 1 (usually more cap savings than pre June 1) but don’t have to wait. It’s beneficial to the player as well who doesn’t have to wait in limbo while free agency is going on.
I think UM is still in the dance but probably now in the play in portion. They have left themselves vulnerable to being pushed out with a few upsets in other conference tourneys.
Juwon needs to go. He’s a great recruiter but he’s got no actual coaching acumen. It’s almost a disservice to these players and their development to keep him in this spot that is way over his head.. The only relevant thing this team got better at this year was understanding how you are supposed to behave when someone disrespects you on the streets of Chicago.
Assuming his legal troubles go away tomorrow, will the league let missing all of last year suffice as his punishment even though it wasn’t an official suspension or will they officially suspend him for many games to start the year? I’m not sure if there’s been any clarity on that. If he’s cleared then I’d trade almost everything that I had for him.
Almost time for a new season of the spectacle that is Formula 1 racing. F1 is never short on drama both on and off the circuit but this season is shaping up as something very special on both fronts.
Missing my man Deletrious as this thread on our past forum was mainly two guys talking about racing. The sport is growing is popularity so hopefully new fans will jump on. A new season of Drive to Survive starts tomorrow on Netflix and that should be spectacular.
Let’s wait and see what they Reynolds deal really looks like before making any firm decisions. I assume it’s really a 1 year deal with a bunch of incentives and doesn’t have a big cap number this year.
I would hope it won’t have any impact on their ability to sign a marquee WR. If it did, I wouldn’t like the deal very much.
Still many clickbait mocks at this point. No editor wants to see essentially the same mock every single week. These guys all are trying to stay fresh knowing that the only mock that counts on the record is their last one. If we get to the final mocks on draft week and Thibs is still slipping then I will pay attention.
Seattle absolutely got a better package for Wilson than the Lions got for Stafford. The biggest reason why is that Stafford winning the SB in year 1 raised the bar. When Brady won it in TB most chalked it up to he’s Tom Brady and does things nobody else can do. When Stafford won the SB, it solidified what can happen when you add a franchise QB to a good team.
The better debate on the subject is if Russell Wilson right now is a better than Matthew Stafford. I say no.
Maybe I’m wrong here but hard to compare the two trades because Stafford’s success with the Rams increased what Denver was willing to pay for a franchise QB.
I think the Clowney comparison comes from both being the top rated recruit coming out of HS as a DE and both performing as a multi year All-American in college. They have had very similar paths to this point even though they do have different styles.
Hutch played on a much better defense and that certainly aided his production. Having another stud on the other side like Ojabo was also huge.
I think these guys are pretty close which in itself is a tribute to Hutch since Thibs started the draft cycle rated much farther ahead.
Thibodeaux impressed me at the combine. Great speed and bench combo. Exactly what people were looking to see. Not sure why it was a big deal that he chose to not participate in anything else. He’s moved ahead of Hutch for me.
Yep. It appears while the very top of the draft is lighter on marquee impact players, the overall depth at places like DL, OL, TE, WR is really good this year. Holmes and Co should shine.
Either way the Russian military has been exposed as old and out of shape. They are a 300 pound weakling who fooled everyone and intimidated by assumption of strength. This won’t continue any longer. The nuclear threat and the jackwack holding their football is the only thing keeping the West from crushing them.
