    I’m just answering what has the guy done that is so appealing. His record in Houston was impressive and everyday that passes is another day that the cheating scandal becomes less important. The record after he left could also be viewed as a remnant of what he built and a positive for him instead of a negative. End of the day though I think all managers are overrated. Easiest leadership job in pro sports.

    Houston is like 90% of his managerial experience. You can’t compare the cup of coffee in AZ and here. He led a team that hadn’t been to postseason in a decade and went to the playoffs 4 times in 5 years in Houston and 2 World Series. That’s impressive.

    Agree. People aren’t firing their coaches for him but I see teams like the Angels, Cubs, Nats, and Mariners being very interested in him

    I’ve heard nothing about the first part. Has this been speculated or reported anywhere? Chris doesn’t seem like the succession plan type of guy. The second part is easy. He’s a World Series champion with a good reputation managing current players. GM’s like that combination. The scandal is the only reason the Tigers were able to get him and every year that passes it gets farther away from blemishing him. This is not a good team. It’s proven obvious that the front office bought way too much into players coming off career seasons when building the roster. I don’t think that will fall on AJ in baseball circles. In fact, I bet he can spin this dreadful year as a positive learning experience that will make him a better manager. Probably complete bs but some other team will eat it up. I don’t think he has a problem finding a better job if he wants it.

    Because this is a shit show and a better job that isn’t so far away from winning will be open for him.

    It’s not Hinch’s fault but I’ve got no issue firing him since he’s going to leave on his own this off-season.

    Absolutely. Have you taken a look at what face value to go to a major concert is these days. It’s insane. These promoters are in for a rude awakening

    Have fun. I would expect it to be pretty empty. Weather aside, most all of the major touring bands have struggled to fill seats so far this summer.

    Agree. It will probably be 75. The 50 ship sailed on Monday. A full point seems more likely than 50bps.

    His career is practically extinct from doing things that smart pitchers don’t do.

    More great experience to come for him next month in the Memorial Cup. It’s not going to be next year but he’s not that far away from LCA.

    The assumption by all is a recession is coming. Rates will tumble back down once it hits.

    He was DFA a month ago and nobody wanted him. I don’t think anything has changed.

    Hopefully this means that Hutch will be sent down after tomorrow’s game and Greene will be coming up.

    Jet’s deep dish is a like a middle of the road starting pitcher and Little Caesar’s is the Tigers lineup trying to hit him. Hot and Ready is like Javy Baez trying to hit a good slider.

    It’s a long wait for the fans but all the jobs less Montreal are all still open. I think he’s right on a normal timetable. I think both Halpern and Lalonde are top candidates for a number of openings including here. Not sure what to make of the Fedorov rumors. He doesn’t seem like a fit.

    There is simply no reason that before tomorrows game they don’t send Kody Clemens down and bring Riley Greene up. It’s a no brainer at this point.
