  1. This has really hit a button with you. I came really close to throwing in covid cell towers or DNA changing vaccines instead. All are baseless claims used to incite just like the lab leak.
  2. I think it’s safe to assume at this point that the pandemic was created by the same group that stole the election from Trump and funds the Clinton child sex trafficking ring.
  3. I took a quick look at the tiebreakers and it looks like they really haven’t prepared for a situation where 3 teams in a division all have 1 loss to each other. All of the other tiebreakers have to do with records against other teams in the division or other division which I believe would still be the same again. Random draw is the 8th tiebreak and it could come down to that. Thankfully, Harbaugh won’t be OSU and this will all be avoided.
  4. I can imagine what kind of impressive numbers he’d be putting up if he were in the situation in place of a Dawson Knox or Garrett Schultz. It will be interesting to watch how the Lions handle him going forward from a financial situation. My guess is they will end up paying him like one of the top 3 TE in the league even though he never will be.
  5. How is everyone feeling about Hock? He confuses me. No doubt that he’s been pretty good. Had we taken him in the 3rd round then I’d consider him a great pick. The problem is that I don’t see him ever becoming the Kelce or Waller super athletic game changer that was expected when picking him so high. It’s weird, he’s not a bust but he’s a bust for where he was taken in the draft. How do they reconcile this when he comes due for his next contract? Does he get a pay raise even though he has underachieved his draft position and the contract that goes with it?
  6. Agree but I could easily see someone taking $60M with a respectable franchise over $64M from the Lions.
  7. The first polls are relatively meaningless and mainly for hype purposes to get people talking about the playoff. Oregon will not be in the conversation. They are a fraud that is there solely on one early season win. Injuries have hurt but the transfer QB they brought in has underachieved. They have really struggled against some average teams. I don’t see any way they make through their schedule without another loss and I think they lose 2. Sadly, MSU is probably a placeholder too. I think they lose 2 of the remaining games starting this weekend. Even with just a loss they will need huge help. Bama is in an interesting spot. They have a favorable schedule the rest of the way but will need to beat Georgia in the SEC championship to stay in. I don’t see a 2 loss team making it in at this point even if it’s Bama. Dont sleep on either Baylor or Ok State stepping up and beating OU. I think the last team standing from this B12 group will get a spot. The cards should fall nicely for an undefeated Cincy to be in it. If they falter somehow there could be a shot for a 1 loss ND team to sneak in but that would make an interesting decision between them and a 1 loss Cincy team that beat them in South Bend. I’m not either have a strong enough schedule to get in with 1 loss without some major upsets happening in other places. If I had to guess now I’d pick Georgia, Ohio State, Cincinnati, and Baylor to be in the final 4.
  8. There are 2 problems. Cade can’t shoot and they have Killian Hayes playing where Cade should be. I think he will look much better once Troy admits defeat and ends the Hayes experiment. Most NBA 1st rounders are busts or role players anyway so I’m not sure why it’s a big deal to move on.
  9. I blame Dave Matthews.
  10. My timeline for Brad looks like: 2021: Full rebuild. Among the worst teams in the league. 3-4 win expectation 2022: Typical Lion season we’ve been used to. Mediocre team that is around that hangs around the conversation for last playoff spot but ends up a few games below.500 when all is said and done 2023: Things start to click Major talent difference from 2021 is obvious. Make playoffs as wild card and challenge for division. 2024: A dreamlike place of winning and respectability that this franchise has rarely seen.
  11. My first thought is that Florida has a much higher population of people over the age of 65 than Michigan. This demographic are in a higher risk category of dying and thus more likely to want the shot without being fazed by conservative political dog whistles.
  12. This is correct. Lynn will be the scapegoat if one is needed
  13. This is the first thing you’ve said that I agree with wholeheartedly.
  14. I believe they execute poorly in short yardage because the coaching staff keeps trying to outsmart the other team by rushing to the line to try and catch them off guard and instead hurt their own execution. It’s dumb. If he wants to go on 4th down, slow it down and get them on the same page and call a great play. How many more times are they going to continue this idiotic trend of going no huddle, up tempo on game changing plays and failing.
  15. This we can agree. No need to worry about dead cap for next year and use it to clear the dead weight that won’t be part of 2023 and beyond.
  16. Just watched the end of the half again and it’s a combination of all the issues I had with Campbell. Despite a few dumb penalties, they had a nice drive going. Sitting 2nd and 5 from the Eagles 26 with 2 TO’s. Goff checks down like always to Swift and he fails to get out of bounds a yard short of the marker with 34 seconds left. Rather than call a TO on 3rd down and set a play to get the 1st and a plan a few end zone shots, he rushes to the line with the clock running and trying to catch them off guard and for the umpteenth time this season the Lions don’t execute while rushing to the line for a crucial play. Goff hands to Swift who doesn’t get the first down. Instead of sitting 3rd and 1 on the 21 with 34 seconds they are 4th and inches on the 20 with 13 seconds. I would’ve kicked the FG here but the mistake was already made. If he wanted to go for a TD they needed to call TO on 3rd down and preserve time and downs.
  17. What does it really matter how much dead cap they have next year? It’s not like they are going to get out and spend on big FA additions next year. They need to make sure they are in a good cap position for 2023.
  18. I am sure they have a guy. I am not so sure that Campbell uses him as he should. I think he puts the info into whatever else is in his mind and then goes by his gut. I am also not concerned about conservative vs aggressive. I want him to make the right choices depending on the situation. Yes, he is starting to remind me of Caldwell on game day and that’s not good. If Jim was better between the lines when it counted then maybe he’s still the coach today. That was his big weakness.
  19. I don’t recall any games where they went 60 minutes punch for punch with anyone. They have played well at times but haven’t come close to putting together a full game. My personal expectations of this team were very low and have only gotten worse. The talent was never there and this was always going to a rebuild. As for Campbell, this didn’t mean a free pass, it meant that I wasn’t going to judge him on W-L record. He is essentially a first time head coach and there were big questions how he was going to handle preparation and game day. I am growing concerned that he makes poor decisions and continues to double down on them even when they don't work. He has literally been doing the same things and hoping for a different result. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason for why he goes for it or not on 4th down. This seems to be based on his gut feel. He also continues to try and go quick, up tempo whenever they get into a 3rd or 4th and short with the hope that it will confuse the other team and instead it is the Lions that get confused and don’t convert. This has happened multiple times this season and there is still no adjustment. There have also been some horrible clock management at the end of half and games. The drive before halftime was another example of huge gaffes with playcall and TO management in a 17-0 game. I like his attitude and I haven’t given up but there still needs to be some coaching acumen no matter how much the players and fans love his rah rah. We saw how this combination worked before with Rod Marinelli and nobody wants a repeat of that.
  20. Agree. I am not sure who was saying that it did.
  21. Tater summed up my thoughts almost exactly. I’m growing concerned about his game management and decision making.
  22. 41-12, 44-12, 48-12 are all Scorigami. LFG Lions!
  23. Agree. He’s all talk and no substance.
  24. Anzalone has done what they wanted him to do after a slow start.
