  1. All of our trade chips showed up today.
  2. It’s not as if Kelly is an offensive force. He’s adequate at best and a 2 year deal that goes sour, with the type of money he’d command, would not be crushing to any team’s payroll if you had to cut bait.
  3. Bring up Jobe late July. Dude is probably our 3rd best pitcher, behind Skubal and Flaherty. He needs innings, why not under the supervision of our best pitching coaches?
  4. This is ridiculous. We should avoid signing players to more than a one year deal because they might decline? I’ll defer to our front office to make that determination. Not every signing/extension pans out, but that’s professional sports.
  5. No one suggested that. The point is, if we select a pitcher, it wouldn’t be the worst thing if the front office think he’s the best player available at our spot.
  6. We probably need pitching more than position players right now. Forgetting the current offensive woes on the big squad, our best prospects, save for Jobe, are hitters (Jung, Clark, McGonigle, Lee).
  7. Agree. Where is the correlation?
  8. You came to the right place if you’re looking for 10 different and conflicting opinions.
  9. Nice to see Keith hit a dinger at home
  10. As a fan, how can you go to a Maeda game, if trying to see a competitive game is of importance?
  11. How quickly we forget the hyphenated one. It’s only an arm injury—he’s not dead.
  12. I think this is correct. We don’t have to move him—let another team pursue and do something stoopid.
  13. How do you know what he looks like?
  14. Add Willi to that mix
  15. I only see one person from an Orioles forum. Until others make their way here, we’re negotiating exclusively with the O’s.
  16. Watching this exchange between our new friend, Greg, and the rest of you feels very Moneyball-like: “Dave Dombrowski on line 1” I just hope you guys can work something out tonight.
  17. Some of us have become pirates, though in truth…
  18. I think Jung replaces Urshela (next season).
  19. Unless you’re new to the Forum, you should know that I’m exceptionally ill-informed on all matters, though that never prevents me from sharing my opinions, sometimes stated as factual. However, he’s lights out in Erie—if he can stay healthy and log some innings, I’d really be surprised if he didn’t make the big squad.
  20. He’ll be on the ‘25 Tigers opening day roster, barring injury or service time shenanigans. Hell be ready (if he isn’t already).
