  1. And somehow we’re still in contention.
  2. Colt has 0 HR’s and 6 RBI’s through almost 1/4 of the season.
  3. From Boras’ camp: “nothing to see here.”
  4. I suspect they will go BPA, but would not be shocked to see a pitcher here.
  5. Wake me up when he starts to “long toss”
  6. Sad news on the Detroit media front. RIP, Book
  7. Neither involved will work in their chosen professions again. Russini flat out lying about it makes her unhirable within any journalistic endeavor.
  8. This team is snakebit. I guess we know why Valdez didn’t have a market this offseason. Not great when Hinch calls you out in the press after the game.
  9. Skubal’s hurt? Don’t worry, they said, we have Framber!
  10. Not tracking with you. You cite a lot of acquisitions via trade and free agency. And I suspect that the minor league free agents on those teams suggest that LA and NY might be better at identifying and developing players other teams have given up on. More importantly, can you defend Hanifee, DeJesus, Guenther, etc..? I don’t mind taking risks on bullpen arms, but they need to produce if that’s part of your strategy. There is no defending this bullpen (so far) this season.
  11. Heard it had something to do with forgetting to put a cover sheet on his TPS report, which is unforgivable.
  12. Agree that the “dumpster diving” arms in the pen aren’t working—was reacting to your comment about the starters.
  13. Holton/Madden literally put together 6 innings comparable to what Skubal would have yesterday. Montero has been consistently effective. I agree as it applies to the pen, but the only weak link in the rotation has been Flaherty.
  14. Two runs? Cue the 4-hour torrential downpour.
  15. No fans reminds me of pandemic baseball. Good times!
  16. Zach Short AB’s are a waste. I’d much rather see Workman. It doesn’t matter that Short is right-handed—he’s horrible offensively.
  17. Pitching chaos worked for a month or so. Not sure how that can be sustained over 130ish games
  18. I can barely tell Peaches apart from the other guy in the booth. Does Petry have a twin? Regardless, nice to see him get a national game.
  19. Unless the bullpen continues to be a problem, I think a healthy Melton will be a starter in Toledo as insurance, filling Montero’s old role.
