    Ironic, coming from Shep. At least Gibby can point to his Parkinson’s diagnosis and treatment contributing to his difficulties in the booth. Shep just flat out sucked.

    Of course. I like Gibby, but I’m also an old white guy. I’ll watch the telecasts even if Roseanne Barr is in the booth. If you want to expand and appeal to a younger audience, Dirks is a better option.

    I don’t think the Tigers are committed to either Sweeney or Baez beyond this season. Probably stopgaps, unless Sweeney shows something.

    Think they are trying to figure out between Lee and McGonigle which should be at 2B or 3B eventually. Would solve a lot of problems if Kevin could stick at SS, since Rainer seems far away.

    If this becomes more apparent, I suspect that Clark nor McGonigle won’t be seen until September ‘26 to ensure they can play in the minors in ‘27.

    Brilliant move. Has had some success in the past and will cost very little next season when he’s healthy. Good lottery ticket.
