  1. I agree with trading any reliever at this point including Lange Fullmer and Soto but for major league ready players not lottery tickets. Turnover could be massive. It’s shocking so much has gone sideways. Baez and Meadows are the only sure starters for next year. Hopefully Tork and Green also but nothing is promised. Probably time to turn this over to someone else for the trading and player acquisitions. Need some creativity I know it won’t happen and to be fair there are lots of injuries and sub par play.
  2. Baez isn’t opting out unless he is doing great. Today was progress with the bat and he is way better than he had shown. Sucks he is so bad for a third of the season though for sure. That brain freeze was rare but costly also. Himch seems good at bullpen building so we need to trade from this strength for better offensive depth and then rebuild the bullpen from our starter depth.
  3. Baez trading hits for errors 😞
  4. Waiting for a Yankee rally
  5. finally got peacock set up and still stuck with Morris talking about himself plus Willie trying to catch a flyable and another injured player and of course zippo offense. What happened to 2022 ????
  6. No doubt you are correct and I am not evolving in this matter. I should keep an open mind.
  7. Hinch is losing credibility forcing a shitty infielder to be an even worse outfielder. Madness. The manager had no clothes. The whole organization looks stupid doing this. How can we expect them to develop any new players when they actually think Willie Castro can play the outfield.
  8. I have Apple TV its only $5.00 a month plus the $199 device and I like it and many shows are good (Ted , Dino's etc) but yes Apple and all tech companies have their issues. Anyway I am listening to Dan on the radio and the tv on mute. As a Father of two daughters I am not proud to say that I can not tolerate female play play announcers...and on the field commentators...and being an old school old guy don't waste your time shaming me cause I don't care.
  9. Hope Roger is happy Hinchie played his son. Not fair comment but he keeps playing people out of position. We started winning when our defense tightened up. Should be 1-1
  10. Hinch playing Clemens in Left bites us. Nice circular route.
  11. Is this lineup as good as the Tiger today ?
  12. Wow that is quite bit of work. Very impressive and much appreciated. Thank you.
  13. Who wrecked Wentz ?
  14. Norm Cash but Cash caught ALL pop fouls
  15. Perhaps Riley will only play every other day or so as he eases back conservatively and that’s why he won’t be in Detroit until later when he can play every day without discomfort?
  16. Are we actually building some momentum ? Cautiuosly optimistic and anxious to see us when Baez hits, Greene and Meadows are back in the lineup and Tork has found his footing. We just might have a fun summer after all boys and girls. Maybe even a "wonderful summer in the neighborhood".."could we"..."should we".
  17. Far do had been solid and surprisingly better than anticipated this year....so far. Silver linings.
  18. Willie "D' Man
  19. Try the mute button.
  20. Paredes with a 3 run bomb today. We gave up on him because he didn't have any power and kept Lugo around forever because of the "sound of the ball off his bat ". Diito Goodrum and Willie Castro.....
  21. Schoop needs to play. He is still has the best upside for our second base position and he needs to hit better to be traded if thats what they want. He's also under contract for next year as well.
  22. I suppose I am pro Javy Baez but very aware of his tendency to look bad at the plate and low walk rate. I think he was the best value signing among all the shortstops. Now I value defense very high, more than many, and he is consistently excellent. I think the intricacies of baseball are valuable though often overlooked like base running and tagging a runner. Again he is excellent. But his best value lies in the energy and knack of raising his performance in game pressure moments. We saw that opening day and again a few days later with the 8th inning ,should have been game winning, 3 run HR that Soto threw away. I think because of our losing that "edge" is off his game and the concentration wavers in trying to carry the team. He's not that but if and when we become competitive I believe he will be right in the center of our success.
  23. I am still very happy to have El Mago on our team. I suspect doubters will also in time. He is an elite talent some of which is unnoticed. His base running today was the only reason we scored.
  24. That's good news. Better to deal with bad news quickly. He can take a few others with him when he leaves...
  25. Burn announcers instead. Start with Jack but no need to stop there...
