  1. True but give Reyes 200 abs before deciding not 40. Find out for sure as much as possible before moving on
  2. Paredas 5 HR’s and 8 rbi last 12 abs with walk off hit. First Ray to 10 homers.
  3. El Mago in the house. Welcome back and nice to see you again.
  4. I would like to see Tork more aggressive ad well. Too much strike zone management with Coolbaugh and not enough organic baseball instincts. Grip and rip.
  5. Cashman got Trevino. Low salary and solid production and very good defender which does not cost 7.5 mil.
  6. Yes the play of the game and a catch he makes in his sleep 😴
  7. Which has to be a concern for us fans about the development and Al. I mean you and many board members really know the game but even to me if someone had a good understanding of the strike zone and does well in the minors at a younger age than other players and fields ok with good glove and decent arm how can you not give them at least one solid run ? Tampa has him as an everyday platoon so he knows when he will play and if he does well they will probably try him everyday. Gradually giving him playing time on a consistent basis and expanding per his production. They got Meadows when he was young and moved him when the cost per production increased. Textbook player evaluation and roster management. I’m jealous of their FO.
  8. Maybe so but 8 homers and some power does sound good. And so cheap plus a draft pick and Meadows money to invest. Also for 2023 Miggy will be blocking Meadows best position DH.
  9. Totally agree. Weird thing is he showed good on base and strike zone judgment to his detriment per Hinch and no power. Now as a Ray it’s the opposite showing power, 8 homers in 60 some abs or so, and low avg and walk rate. Now is that a coincidence or different coaching philosophy? Maybe Hinch and Coolburger over emphasize pitch selection. G2 mentioned this about “zone hunting “ or some such nonsense.
  10. Candy also.....still feel bad 😞
  11. I hope Meadows comes back strong but his defense was declining for all to see before the trade and his pay was increasing. I would have been happier for Parades if he would have had a real shot in Detroit and done it here.
  12. His extension is looking real good for him right about now.
  13. If Jeimer never straightens out this year is he looking at being DFA ?
  14. Or is he getting better coaching or did we ever really give him a role to settle into ? I don't think so.
  15. So beating a dead horse again we have Austin at 7 mil and Candy at 5 mil (guessing both) totaling 12 mil instead of Isaac at 800K and say Reyes/Cameron at 800K instead of 1.6 mil. Again I was not comfortable with the Meadows trade given Tamba Bay smarts and this is big time hindsight however I don't think Tampa, Cleveland , SF etc like GMs would be in this position. It's just poor value evaluation for the talent. Now Candy had a real good last year and so did Meadows but the common thread of both is the escalation of their pay is above the value of the skill set they provide and getting worse. Good GM's avoid this which is the only way to win without breaking the bank and Al Avila can not do that in my estimation.
  16. Isaac Parades with 3 homers tonight. Al got schooled.
  17. If Badoo can improve in the field and commit to OBP rather than homers he can be the lead off hitter we need with Greene in the two hole. Hill is four A and Cameron might be fourth outfielder like Reyes. Just my opinion.
  18. 1. Keith 2. Kreidler 3. Campos 4. Santana 5. Segura
  19. Maybe the entire team has covid
  20. No need to be sorry it’s not totally clear. Today’s Detroit News talks about poor drafting and development as main problem for many years and the last paragraph says, paraphrasing, at long last no matter how uncomfortable it’s a simple matter for Tiger ownership to recognize. Sorry I don’t know how to copy and paste on my phone.
  21. It’s in his last sentence or so. A bit discreet but there.
  22. Our buddy Lynn Henning calling for Al Avilia being fired in today’s paper is hopefully the beginning of the media onslaught.
  23. Let's be honest when we only had a one run lead going into the ninth and Soto walked the first guy and then wanted the mound fixed you knew it was over. And while they were fixing the mound we had nobody warming in the pen. That was surprising to me. Sometimes supporting your players is preventing them from self destruction. So three scoops of bad today for me..offense-Soto-Hinch
  24. So maybe he will surpass his brother 😎
  25. I suppose your right but I was just making an exaggerated point 😊
