  1. i dont understand how the big ten expansion is better for the likes of purdue and rutgers. they had a shot when there were only 2 1/2 good teams in the conference and they were all in the east. they only needed to back their way into the big ten title game and pull an upset. now they have no shot. there is no weak big ten west anymore and they have to play more good teams. teams like purdue and illinois are sunk. rutgers never had hope anyway.
  2. because he's in a conference with cee dee lamb and justin jefferson. no shame in not beating those guys out for the pro bowl.
  3. he's the interim. they havent made him the head coach so the job is technically open. i think harbaugh ends up with the raiders. he has ties to the team and is friends with the owner. the bears would be stupid to keep eberflus and fields. so that's probably what they'll do because they are stupid.
  4. he's gone. 100% gone imo. love the guy, but i'm worn out by the constant show. beaten down by all the wounds, self-inflicted or otherwise. we'll probably look back on all this as the last glory days of the old big ten: michigan and ohio state. with all the new teams coming in things are about to get more competitive. and i think osu is better suited to handle that in the long run than michigan without someone like harbaugh. michigan seems so poorly run right now.
  5. raiders, washington, carolina, chargers, falcons. who's next? pats? bears?
  6. yeah, it didnt work.
  7. tuning in for my favorite weekly dose of schadenfreude and all the bears post game shows are talking about is jim harbaugh
  8. could be. i think we forget that ben johnson is not the only coaching candidate out there. also, this is the nfl. turnarounds happen very very quickly. the texans were supposed to be the worst team in the league coming into this season. the panthers could win 6 games next year on luck alone and their coach would be a hero. he's got connections in carolina and the owner will pay him, that's not nothing. the commanders want belicheck. which tells me theyre dumb. there will probably be another surprise firing out there. bears? jets? titans?
  9. i'd be surprised if ben johnson doesnt end up in carolina.
  10. well deserved firing. falcons pick 8th for the 3rd year in a row. not sure why the gm is still there. that's a mistake.
  11. there's a lot of that. they've never seen a good qb. the only decent qb they've had since 85 was jay cutler, and he was such an ass hole they all hated him. plus fields says all the right things in press conferences and people tend to take that as evidence about what a hard working guy he is. the bears are owned by sentimental idiots so it wouldnt SHOCK me to see them intervene and tell them they had to keep fields because virginia thinks he's such a nice, well spoken young man.
  12. there is no reason to be positive about the pistons. not until "platinum equity" sells the team.
  13. english soccer and big ten football. you'll have to go to peacock for nbc sports owned games soon.
  14. seriously. you need to work on that. try saying positive things for a change! lol. when youre more negative than me, you have a problem. 🙂
  15. good win streak. they need all the points they can get now after that awful december from hell. the caps and flyers need to turn back into the caps and flyers.
  16. laporta and gibbs are the first rookie tandem with double figures in touchdowns in league history. read that somewhere today.
  17. im not sure what your post meant. i assumed it was another slap at harbaugh like you usually do. but whatever, my bad if it wasnt.
  18. by qbr, stafford exceeds goff by quite a bit. i think stafford is a very dangerous qb. great arm. great receivers. good offensive coach. the rams are really dangerous. the difference between goff and stafford in goff's favor is that stafford can be reckless with the ball and can turn it over. moreso than goff, imo. slow and steady sometimes wins the race. hopefully we can get the rams to turn it over and control the game with the running game.
  19. qbr: fields 23rd (right after kyler murray, right above sam howell) passer rating: fields 23rd (right after nick mullen) fields is in year 3 as a starter and he's not even nick mullens. he's barely better than sam howell. if the bears DIDNT have the #1 pick they would probably keep him and roll with him as a glorified running back. but they DO have the #1 pick! use it.
  20. i know you have a hatred of jim harbaugh, but he's one of the most successful coaches in the game. no other coach has been as successful in college and the pros. not saban. not bill walsh. not urban meyer.
  21. i think the best you'll get for fields is a second rounder. probably a 3rd. maybe two 3rds.
  22. they have to draft williams. you cant run it back with fields. if so, they have to pick up his option and then pay him huge qb money. they have manna from heaven in that #1 overall pick with a supposed generational qb sitting them in the face. they have to do it. fields has made incremental improvements but is still not good as a passer. i'm not sure what the excuses are now. his oline has been decent. they have a decent running game. he has a really good receiver in moore and a quality tight end in kmet. and he's still at the bottom of the league in passing. my fear is they get harbaugh. i dont think they will, but that's my fear.
  23. i'll be there tomorrow night when if they win and you pretend like youre a michigan fan. 🙂 if they lose i'll be there for you to make obnoxious posts about how much harbaugh and michigan suck. but youre a fan, you promise! lol.
