dunno. in reality, i doubt he's actually back on the market to be dealt straight up unless, as you say, it was part of a deal to get a real frontline upgrade. but even then, it is curious to see those rumors.

his production on the 3rd line in vancouver is way down because his linemates arent the same quality as first line flames players. why would it be any better on detroit's second or third line? lindholm's numbers also dropped considerably last year. that's yzerman's calculus. and then do you extend him?

i think duren might end up as andre drummond. if he's andre that knows his limitations that's not a bad thing. if he's andre that thinks he's joel embiid, thats horrible. and to del's point, if he's PAID like andre was here, that's a waste of resources. it all depends on whether he gets a jumper and learns to play defense.

they have been able to take advantage of colorado's bottom lines. wings have more depth at the bottom. but the top lines are killing them.

the detroit diaspora is real. you see it for every one of their teams on the road except maybe the pistons. but the second the lions were successful they were taking over every opposing stadium. the wings have always traveled well.

hanifin rumored to go to tampa bay but detroit sniffing around. reports that they would be open to an extension too... rumor that berggren would part of the deal but that it would require "a lot more than that." take those with a grain of salt considering no rumors ever come out of detroit. either agent driven or made up.
