bert is a terrible skater. he's an agitator. he's tough. he's got great hands. he's a smart offensive hockey player. but the book on bert has ALWAYS been that he cant skate well and that he freelances too much and coasts on defense.
its not like ras is kristie yamaguchi either, but he's better than bert.
no analogy is perfect. and ras certainly isnt a great comp either. but if were talking FLOOR, for his career, i say a 3rd line big wing/center in a pinch type of guy is probably bear's floor. his ceiling is bert who skates better and plays sound hockey. or travis konechy-type.
travis konechny is not bear's floor, imo. its more likely his ceiling.
