  1. george also said that two years ago a few times during the season.
  2. why do you want coby white? ayo is getting extremely overrated. he's a bench player on a playoff team. he'll get played off the floor in a meaningful game, just like he is every playin game when the bulls get their asses kicked by the heat. ayo is what ivey is now, only he is a better defender. and if the pistons wanted them, they would have traded for them in the heurter deal.
  3. i think it does make the pistons better now, but not by a ton. its not what they need to be a championship caliber team. but its possible they dont have the assets to trade for a difference maker. if we thought ivey was going to be valued enough to include in a trade for a difference making player, this should be a wake up call. ivey went for a guy you could grab with a second round pick. that's his value. what's holland's value? what's duren's value or ausar's value when theyre due big pay days? what's our pick's value when its likely to be in the 20s for the foreseeable future? probably not much. do you want damaged goods like ja? maybe ausar and a bunch of picks gets you that.
  4. putting duren in the deal will get troy weaver interested. after all, rebounding is the most important thing to him.
  5. ive heard good things about the wings...
  6. because he wants to play with his brothers. there was no other reason to go to jersey before or after.
  7. i think that has to do with cade and firing monty williams. trajan can take credit for replacing monty, but the cade thing is due to health. bringing in beasley last year was a plus. duncan has turned out ok so far (although i think he'll get beasley'd in the playoffs), lavert has sucked. holland hasnt been anything great. the pistons going from the worst team ever to good was due to internal growth and minor edge tinkering. now comes the hard part, moving from good to a contender. i dont think the pistons are there yet. heurter aint gonna do it, but lets see if there is another shoe to drop.
  8. i think they want heurter because he can shoot. saric is the deal i dont understand. you HAD to take saric in order to move the former #5 pick in the draft for a 3 point shooter who plays no defense?
  9. jack hughes might have the best contract in hockey. luke hughes just signed a 7 year deal this year. neither of those two are going anywhere. which hughes brother is out of contract after next season? THAT'S the hughes brother who is moving. all this assumes a lot, like the fact they ACTUALLY WANT to play together. they might not. lots can happen in 2 years. maybe the wings draft the next hughes brother and quinn decides he wants to play with him? we dont know. from their public statements, it would seem quinn is bound for jersey, but you never know. i remember when johnny gaudreau definitely wanted to play on the east coast and then signed in columbus. now, i know hockey players arent geography majors, but c-bus isnt a hop, skip, or jump from the atlantic ocean. otoh, gavrikov was "always ticketed to ny" and ended up signing with the rangers. rasmus anderson "only wanted to play in vegas" and was traded to vegas.
  10. they must be looking to make another deal. as much as ivey may be shooting well this year, huerter is a better pure shooter historically. i know the pistons need shooting but this cant be the best they could do? it looks like most of us who placed any real value on ivey were wrong, maybe were placing too much value on holland and ausar too? especially holland. help us troy weaver and joe dumars, youre our only hope of fleecing someone this year.
  11. i know it was a joke. 😉 i do think the wings have enough to at least make st louis think about it. i dont think yzerman would give up that much.
  12. i think youre underestimating three things: edvinsson's ceiling, hughes' free agent status in a year, and hughes' desire to play with his brothers, all of whom play in new jersey.
  13. must be another move coming. soooo....do we get harden now? lol.
  14. Danielson, MBN and two first round picks, top 10 protected. st louis loves size (danielson) physicality (mbn) and a couple first rounders.
  15. detroit's pick is likely to be a bit lower than minnys, if that's anything.
  16. on the topic of edvinsson, i think he is going to be as good or better than seider. he's taller and more mobile. i see those two developing into the best pair in the nhl. hughes is a special offensive talent, i get it. but i think edvinsson is going to be a special DEFENSEman.
  17. even worse then. heurter is "just a shooter" even more than robinson is. he's been awful with the bulls. this is a total dump of ivey. ivey had zero value and this is the best you could get for him. also tells me they had no desire to keep him for next year and wanted that salary hold off the books.
  18. ummm....THAT'S THE BEST YOU COULD GET FOR JADEN IVEY? shows what the league thinks of ivey. pistons get shooting and another pick to trade. bulls get a rehab project on a guy who was once a promising player.
  19. THOU SHALT NOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT QUINN HUGHES BECAUSE STEVE YZERMAN MADE A MISTAKE BECAUSE SIMON EDVINSSON SUCKS. - hongbit....probably.
  20. do we get bobby portis out of it for 4 second rounders?
