i cant imagine ron holland has too much of a market right now. maybe because he's still young? at least ivey has shown the ability to score at an nba level in the recent past.

soldier field sucks, and as soon as they move to a new stadium the better off they'll be. its impossible to get to. its hell to get out of. its a long ass walk to the train - unless you go the back way and then its still long. its small for an nfl stadium. it looks like a toilet bowl on top of the old stadium. the bears dont even own it and have to deal with the chicago freaking park district (which, because it is run by the city of chicago, is a complete mess that cannot function without corruption and lunacy). if the bears were a competent organization, they would have had shovels in the ground in arlington heights two years ago, but because they are the bears currently led by charlatan kevin warren, theyre still dicking around saying they might move somewhere else. the newest lie being northwest indiana. if the state of illinois or the city of chicago were run by competent people, they would have come up with a comparable site in the city years ago. but we are not a competent city. we are a banana republic. good riddance to the bears. the smartest thing that idiotic franchise ever did will be moving to the burbs. seeing as they are the bears, they are in the process of ****ing that up too.

ivey, harris, and multiple firsts should be value for him but you dont know what others are offering. hawks have more ammo. i think the spurs do too, but trading picks is not their MO. The thunder have the most ammo (which is hilarious) but probably wont move it for murphy considering their roster and upcoming salary crunch. weaver drafted ivey too, so he kight value him more than others. and ivey could be a good buy low candidate whose extension might not cost as much after this year.

zach lavine is a negative player. always will be. selfish. plays no defense. one of the best athletes in the world. is it an organizational thing? he went from minnesota pre-ant, to the bulls post drose, to the kings (forever bad). maybe on a good team you can harness that otherworldly hops into a true winning player? he doesnt seem like detroit's type of player.

the cavs are still a worry if they can get healthy. the healthy cavs destroyed this team earlier in the year. the pistons have two big flaws we've been harping on all year. and they are a "try hard" bunch. reminds me a bit of the drose bulls. that team always struggled a bit on the playoffs when everyone else was trying hard too. otoh, they would have made the finals if not for prime lebron and there is no prime lebron in the east so... seeing as its finals or bust, do you go all in? or just nibble on the margins and hope the lack of shooting doesnt kill you in the playoffs?

let's see what happens at the deadline. atlanta might pull something out of their behinds and trade trae and the pelicans pick. they can use the pels pick to get something good (maybe even from the pels!), and get some sucker team to give them picks or a shot blocker for trae (looking at you, washington).

big win. kat reverting to his usual big game form. given how well reed seems to play in duren's stead, maybe the reason duren looks so good is that he gets to play next to a superstar point forward every night? cade has met or exceeded all my expectations for him. he's become more than luka-lite. to be full luka, he'll need to put them on his back in the playoffs and make it to at least the ECF.

That was a big win. a big, lucky win. but a win nonetheless. they were totally outplayed most of the night, but made the most of their chances and ottawa's goalies were suspect. two ottawa goals called back (rightfully). gibson played well, but ottawa just flat out missed some chances. the wings were very sloppy.

other than the hope of mcgonigle, most of that depth looks like a bunch of average to below average players. would bichette be an upgrade on baez at short? is mcgonigle an upgrade on keith at third? then do what you can. the only prospect they have who is almost untouchable should be mcgonigle and maybe clark.

andre was fine as a player, but he decided he was going to be the focal point of the offense which is he was quite unqualified to be. its not his fault the pistons paid him so much money, it is his fault that he demanded to be a bigger part of the offense than he had any right to have. and the team let him do it and he became disruptive to the point of being detrimental. he was a great rebounder. if he had decided to be just that - and a rim runner - he could have been a very good player. instead he will be remembered largely as a clown. a very well paid clown.

i go the opposite way. I'd rather see the traditional teams play than watch arizona state play smu. i dont mind that in the regular season, but i like the traditional programs to play for championships. probably because that's how i grew up, watching michigan lose rose bowls.
