  1. “Change is coming. I’m just saying that in terms of Monty, Troy, all of that stuff … they will be in place, but I’m all over them. They’ll tell you that too. There’s a lot of accountability that needs to be held. There might be additions to staff and all of that stuff. What’s for sure is that change is coming. We’re not right, right now. We have to add and delete. We’re on it already. We will make changes. We will make them. We don’t know exactly what they’ll be yet.” Gores added that if anyone is to blame for what has happened, it’s him and Weaver. “In terms of how we’re not performing and so on, I think it has to go on Troy and I. It starts there. … We underestimated something. We have seven or eight players who are 22 and under. That’s the makeup of our roster. Maybe we need more playing veterans.” does anyone think this person is a serious nba owner? with a plan for the future? these are the ramblings of a rich guy who thinks he knows better than everyone else because he's rich.
  2. "After the team’s loss to Utah in Detroit on Thursday, fans were heard chanting “sell the team,” loud enough to be heard on the broadcast. Gores said he thought it was ridiculous. “They can say what they want, but that’s ridiculous. Other than winning — and we should win more games — we do a lot in the community. Players, the organization, we do a lot in the community. If you put aside winning, we’ve made a very big difference in the community. That means a lot to me. I understand that’s only going to mean a lot to people if we win, but the underworking of what’s happening and with our community, over all these years, is there. We’re doing multibillion-dollar things outside of (basketball). I understand the fans being upset, but it’s a ridiculous thought,” Gores said." abandon hope all ye who enter here.
  3. the pistons have now clinched the worst record in franchise history.
  4. disappointed that they werent booed off the floor.
  5. that jury was always going to convict. they lost that case in voir dire. they needed multiple strong non-black voices in that jury room. if you want to point to the biggest mistake the prosecution made, it was filing the case in downtown LA county instead of santa monica. if you file that case in santa monica you get a majority white jury, but by filing it in downtown LA you get a majority black jury. that jury had 8 black people and 1 white female. and the white female was a weak personality who was just going to go along with what everyone else did. the gloves didnt matter.
  6. he got off because he was black and the black jurors were not going to convict him. thats it. all the other stuff doesnt really matter. i dont even think their use of furman's past statements on race - which never should have come in - mattered. that jury hated LA cops and the plaintiffs (and the judge) did a great job of mucking it up and making the trial about the LAPD and not about the obvious murderer who was standing right in front of them. if you want to get into the weeds, it was the judge who caved to the pressure. ito let the defense do whatever it liked, it was ridiculous. he was obviously intimidated by the big name attorneys on the other side and his decisions were all slanted to them. the weight of the knowledge that a decision against oj might have started another riot may also have weighed on him, but i think the bigger issue was his being intimidated by the moment and the johnnie cochran's and f lee bailey's of the world.
  7. if they get better next year there is 0 chance they get fired. even if they get marginally better. with that said, i DO expect them to be better simply because it is so hard to be this bad. to do it again would be...borderline amazing. i have a lot of fears with this team. one of them is that they go all in on their cap space for lavine, thus assuring a ceiling of a play in team. then gores will tout it as a success, just like he did when the blake team made the playoffs and for all the great work theyve done in the community.
  8. shame he died before he could find the real killer...
  9. how is this not a thing? this must become a thing.
  10. this thread is all we have left now. 😞
  11. i want them to fail because they are bad at their jobs amd if they fail spectacularly they MIGHT get fired. if they get fired, there is a small chance that gores hires someone better. a very small chance, but a chance nonetheless. the current regime has no chance at real success, imo other than winning the lottery next year and getting a transformational player.
  12. i think the same thing. i want him to stay and prosper here. i think he's going to be a really good player. he wont be luka but that's ok, he's still really good. but as much as i like the pistons, i hate seeing incompetent management rewarded. i want to see them fail. i only wosh there waa a way to make gores suffer for his incompetence but there isnt. no matter what happens he turned a $350 million investment into a $3 billion asset.
  13. so why even play him at all this season? if any team has a good player and a bunch of guys who arent that good, they should just sit the guy who is good? every game? come on.
  14. pistons have now clinched a tie for the worst record in franchise history.
  15. and he's a player who isnt giving you anything if he's not giving you offense.
  16. so how did that debrincat trade work out? was he the 40 goal scorer he was when he was paired with patrick kane in his prime? or is he just a small, fast forward who is a little above average as a scorer but nothing else?
  17. if perron just dumps the puck in it doesnt happen. if seider actually holds the damn puck it doesnt happen. two mistakes led to two caps goals. compher has been **** the whole game.
  18. seider mishandles a bullet pass from perron across the middle of the ice, falls down, and then ovechkin waltzes in and scores.
  19. CLEAR THE ****ING PUCK COMPHER!!! he put a little bitch toss clearance right to strome and he buries it.
  20. last year? sure. cade was actually hurt. the team was supposed to be terrible. this year? they're making a mockery of this stuff. even kwahi has played 68 games!
  21. How about the integrity of the product you put on the floor? this is supposed to be entertainment that people pay a lot of money to see. its disrespectful to the fans and the league.
  22. biggest game for this team in years and their best d man is sick. they just cant buy any injury luck this season.
  23. are they really just sitting cade for no reason? the league cant be happy with that. and if there is an actual injury, how many times can he get hurt?
