  1. only played 3 full seasons. he ranks 29th in AV. Suh is 24th.
  2. another easy top 3: cobb kaline gehringer
  3. barry is the only easy choice. calvin? joe schmidt? lem barney? night train lane? stafford? i'd probably go with barry, calvin, and alex karras. if you go by approximate value: barry 149 stafford 133 wayne walker 124 lem barney 122 alex karras 122 **** lebeau 106 lomas 99 calvin 94 herman moore 92 raiola 89
  4. if you go by win shares: laimbeer 98 lanier 91 joe d 86 isiah 80 chauncey 73 ben wallace 65 drummond 60 grant hill 60 tayshaun 57 larry foust 57 dave bing 56 rip 54 (win shares overrates rebounds, imo)
  5. isiah thomas joe dumars bill laimbeer
  6. if you go by point shares, the top wings are: gordie 215 lidstrom 212 stevie 167 sawchuck 142 delvecchio 124 red kelly 115 datsyuk 111 zetterburg 109 sergei 104 lindsay 90 jimmy howard! 90 marcel pronvost 87
  7. the top 3 are easy. #4 is more debateable.
  8. their season ticket base fell to ~9k. that's not enough to sustain the team in winnipeg and with the perennial canadian currency issue. tater, youre a romantic. money wise, the jets are a prime candidate to move and winnipeg is too small to sustain them much longer.
  9. do you consider a 30% decline in season tickets a success?
  10. the minimum games requirement had zero to do with that. nothing.
  11. https://thehockeynews.com/news/reaction-are-the-winnipeg-jets-in-danger-of-relocating Winnipeg has an attendance problem. And it can’t be ignored. Nearly 13 years after the Winnipeg Jets sold out 13,500 season ticket packages in 17 minutes, the Jets are filling just 87.4 percent of their 15,325-seat arena on a nightly basis. In an interview with The Athletic’s Chris Johnston, Chipman revealed that their season ticket base has dwindled to just under 9,500 — a 27 percent decline over the last three years. For a while, the Winnipeg Jets have been the feel-good story of the NHL. Their whiteouts are iconic, and the club is similar to the Green Bay Packers of the NFL — a small-market team engulfed and supported by passion. But as we’re seeing with Chipman’s address, sometimes passion and love for a team isn’t enough. If they continue to struggle with putting people in seats — the Jets could very well leave again
  12. winnipeg is not doing fine. in fact, there are rumblings that they will need to sell the team and/or relocate soon. there was a big piece in the athletic about it recently.
  13. but he's no trey burke...
  14. why? canadian cities are too small. salt lake is 1.25m metro and growing rapidly. they have a building. they have a great fan base in place. cities like salt lake are where the nhl prospers, where there is no baseball or football to take away money. quebec city isnt even 1 million metro, has the canadian dollar weighing it down, and has to compete with montreal for fans and money. quebec city makes no sense.
  15. i'll be kind of upset if they spend big money on elias lindholm.
  16. dude, compher outproduced lindholm THIS YEAR! what do you mean he's never outproduced lindholm. i think you like the idea of what lindholm was 2 years ago when he was playing on a stacked calgary team going up against second lines rather than what he actually is now. its like debrincat. everybody gets wrapped up in him scoring 40 goals, but take him away from patrick kane in his prime and he's what he was this year: a decently fast winger with an ok scoring touch.
  17. it takes like 5 picks/pick swaps to get a good player nowadays. mikael bridges will be a pretty hot commodity if the nets look to move him. not sure the pistons have the ammo. unless they get the #1 pick and the nets love sarr.
  18. i thought half of the point of compher and copp was they were good defensive forwards?
  19. lindholm has had decreasing production every year since he scored 40 goals and he is about to turn 30. no thanks. why are you so high on tuomisto? he seems like trade filler to me. like sebrango.
  20. bultman's article today made it seem like kane is probably gone and perron will probably stick around.
  21. pistons could have had him last year. instead they traded for joe harris.
  22. the 8.5ish is in line with other young top defensemen. i understand your point, seider's analytical numbers arent great, but they give him HEAVY responsibility. i do think the physicalness has decreases.
