  1. one thing never changes: put pressure on cousind and he folds like a cheap suit.
  2. i remember watching a u20 tournament with freddy adu and some kid named messi. life turned out a little different for them.
  3. its a shame he cant sue his father for parental malpractice.
  4. max's review in the atlantic was pretty much the same as i have said before, except he felt cossa did really well (i didnt see cossa today). he wrote that hanas and soderblum were the best players and that soderblum's passing and stick work were top notch. lombardi and kyrill the thrill were small but effective. edvinsson was too languid at times, but showed the offensive upside that make him such a great prospect, but that he's going to need to pick up the tempo if he wants to make the big club this year.
  5. you really have to give the oc and the offense credit. they had 2/5 of an oline and were pulling guys off the practice squad and waivers and they put up 30+ on a decent defense. and a defense whose front 4 is its strength (even if they were missing chase young.) it was a helluva showing.
  6. goff is holding the offense back. i love the idea of jaymo being a game changer, but can goff deliver a good deep ball? he missed a wide open chark yesterday. he seems to have forgotten how to pass the ball accurately deep. despite that, he's played ok. i cant help but think that the offense would be so much better with a guy like lamar or just with a better qb.
  7. zetterburg is probably a better comparison than larkin.
  8. the niners dealt three first round picks to get the qb worse than justin fields.
  9. not really. the chiefs and packers both traded their #1 receivers this year because of the cap. youre right that the cap is circumventable, but it eventually catches up to you and youre starting jameis winston or marcus mariota at qb.
  10. 1 and 2 are obvious.
  11. spending big money to retain an average tight end would be almost as dumb as spending big money to retain a center.
  12. and now hutch is hurt. because we cant have nice things.
  13. halftime speech by rivera: "guys, its the lions secondary."
  14. been a long time since the lions have boat raced a team like that in the first half. or any half.
  15. kansas' head coach should be nebraska's next head coach. you want to talk about a place that's impossible to win at? kansas.
  16. second game of the season and 3/5 of the starting offensive line is out. starting cb is out too. if it werent for bad luck we wouldnt have any.
  17. we dont need to tell you because you already know the answer.
  18. michigan state is not very good. they werent last year either but got lucky and had a great season from a transfer portal back. he's not there anymore but their terrible secondary still is. they just got lit up by michael penix.
  19. detroit loses to dallas 5-4. soderblum had a real good game. he made some really nice passes that got guys wide open for goals. lombardi played well too. fast and physical. not great from edvinsson. a little too casual with the puck leading to some turnovers. but he had one play where he had some room and skated up ice and broke into the zone. lots of talent there. no cossa today but bednar played really well. he didnt give up a goal in the half game he played and faced a number of shots.
  20. willie horton? wtf does willie horton know about modern baseball management? jim leyland has been done with baseball for a decade. he needs contacts you meet at gm meetings and owners meetings. people who are in management in the game currently and can see trends and know who is up and coming. does he have that? i dont know. given the fact that he kept avila for years, i doubt he does.
