    im ambivalent on the shift. i dont like to see it, but part of me thinks that its SO EASY to beat and they STILL keep pulling the ball into it every time. let them suffer if they cant make changes to counter the defensive counters.

    enforcing the pitch clock will go a lot farher in "solving" the games' problems than messing with the ball will.

    he said that if he was warde manual, he would interview urban meyer. that's a ridiculous take. michigan would never have taken meyer after he went from florida to ohio state even BEFORE all the shady stuff that happened at ohio state AND all the shady shit that happened at jacksonville. after all of that stuff, there is a 0% chance michigan would ever speak to meyer, much less hire him.

    there has been all sorts of rule change talk. putting a "3 second rule" for the corner so you cant have a shooter camped out there. decreasing the size of the lane to get teams to emphasize the big man again. allow hand checking and more physical defense.

    free them up to hand check again and i bet that number goes down. on the one hand, 71 points for donovan mitchell and every other scorer seemingly getting 50 per night is ridoculous. otoh, nobody wants to go back to the 90s and early 00s of 70 point games.

    unfortunately this is probably true. they would probably love david shaw (until he started losing). finding their own version of marcus freeman would have michigan's DEI department (all of them) salivating.

    that's one of your more ridiculous takes. 🙂 if urban works again in college football, it will be for a southern school. no big ten team would touch him, imo. michigan would never have hired him before and will obviously not do it now.
