they wont all fail, but most of them will.
-
as long as that better talent doesnt win by more than 17 points! which is didnt. 4-4. drinks are on me!
-
buddha's bets of the day: north dakota +28.5 florida +2.5 baylor -42 notre dame +17 looking like 3 hits and then hoping ND can hold on.
-
i'm willing to take that bet.
-
that was lucky as fuck.
-
ohio state has a ton more talent than notre dame and notre dame has no qb and they're very close to beating them. as a 17 point dog.

"relentless negativity" is just reality. when they start to get actual good results at the major league level, maybe we'll be more positive? until then, the burden of proof is on them to show us that these A ball all stars will turn into actual players. micro is the only person on this site with scouting chops and he bursts your bubble 9.5 times out of 10. you always complain about those of us who dont believe in the tigers' current crop of prospects. well, are we wrong?

ryan day is not a good coach. like harbaugh said, some guys are born on third base and think they hit a triple. ohio state is soft and have no plan b. day is out of his league.
-
notre dame +17 is looking pretty good right now.

it was weird. he was on the field doing pregame interviews. seemed to be fine. then he left and the team announces he's out indefinitely at the advice of his doctor. flew back to phoenix. alcohol is a helluva drug, tony. -

north dakota + 28.5 was like taking candy from a baby.

but he was still the same guy: check down check down short pass, safe pass. part of that is a harbaugh offense is going to favor the run, but part of it is macnamera's risk aversion. rgiii said at least once he missed an open guy for a td because he locked in on a guy. statistically he was really good last year when he threw deep. he just didnt do it that often. a fully optimized jj who can run and chuck it deep puts michigan's offense - dare i say it? - in the elite category. macnamera means they make less mistakes but have a much lower ceiling. if theyre gonna compete against osu, they need to be elite. they need fully optimized jj.

greene, carpenter, tork, and kriedler gives people a reason to watch. -
maybe if he were having respiratory issues or stamina issues, but he hurt his achilles and then he said he had mental health issues. that doesnt sound like covid stuff to me. sounds like he was performing poorly, got hurt, and hasnt been able to make it back to his previous level and he's having a hard time dealing with it. give him some prozac and get him back on the field.

so....georgia and alabama and everyone else? lets see how ohio state looks tonight.

i texted my ucla fan friend that iowa score and told him "welcome to the big ten." he told me south dakota was actually pretty good. so i see ucla is already fitting right in, making excuses for poor ooc games.

BIG TEN!

welcome to the league will johnson, burned for a td. the d line looked really good. the oline wasnt impressive given their preseason billing and the quality of opponent. as far as the qb, its hard to tell because mccarthy was playing against a csu defense that was really worn down. and he really never had to make a read and throw. that said, he opens up the run game in a way macnamera never will because mccarthy has wheels. macnamera NEVER pulls the ball and runs. but even with that, macnamera was not impressive today. he looked pretty average. we figured the dtackles would be great and they were, but i thought they got some decent pass rush from various ends today. that's a positive. if they can get anything out of one of their ends the dline could be pretty good again. now, the linebackers? colson looked good. really hope he doesnt get hurt.
-
i hope the offensive line doesnt look this ordinary against a real team. right tackle might be a problem...
-
of course, but its not a crime against humanity like some are making it out to be. its perfectly fine to wonder what's going on with erod and matthews. its also perfectly fine to be skeptical about what is said publicly about it, cause the parties at issue all have reason to form a specific narrative that supports them and their careers. as usual "nobody knows nothin." but thats really no fun. its fun to talk about what it might be. besides, erod and matthews arent here, so we can talk all the crap about them we want, lol!
