calling braylon edwards an "analyst" is a real stretch.
here's your accurate headline: "bomb throwers looking for clicks waking up to the fact that michigan's qb situation generates tons of interest."
i think ras will be fine for what he is: a 3rd or 4th line guy. he should get stronger and hopefully that will result in a guy who can get to the net and not be moved and shows some physical forechecking ability. cause they need that badly.
its just not what you want from the #9 pick.
as for zadina, he's still young and could be on a line with vrana. he could produce.
but i'll believe it when i see him stop shooting every puck either directly at the goalie or missing the net completely.
let's see what a new system can do with them.
stats are fine if you understand what they measure and then you need to determine how valuable what theyre measuring really is.
war - like any stat - is flawed. i think it places too much emphasis on quantity over quality and it tries to place a number on defense which i dont think you can accurately do. but that's just me. its not an invaluable stat, you just have to know what its flaws are.
semien hasnt been that good this year. the only reason he's ahead of correa is because semien leads the league in at bats. and he's also 31.
238/295/411 or 264/344/421?
still better than baez though...
i see so many people get back injections and then spinal fusion surgery. its incredible. it never works but still they do it.
now, granted, when i see it its because theyre doing it for money, but it never seems to work regardless.
backs are no joke.
i think its unlikely he amounts to anything. players who cant stay healthy usually stay unhealthy. ask deshawn hand.
but you never know. i hope he pans out. mcneill looks pretty good so far. brockers is about to retire, imo. he's on the snacks harrison path without the 6 really good games he gave us.
regardless, interior defensive line appears to be a big weakness for this team. combine that with the weakness at linebacker and it spells trouble stopping the run.
i hope we get more "try hard" lions this year. that's kind of their only hope on defense.
the offense should be pretty decent if goff holds up and doesnt turn into turtle goff like he was for half the season last year.
he lists so many folks as "nhl average" that it makes me wonder which nhl games he's been watching.
maybe its because ive been watching too many red wings games?
