  1. because he can pass. he has good instincts. he can defend. he's young and you can teach shooting. but he is far from an nba player right now. he's not even close. part of it is cade and how theyre using killian. cade fell into your lap. his best position is point forward/shooter with the ball in his hands. what does that do to killian? it means he's a second unit pg or he's a defense only shooting guard. theyre treating him as the latter only. which means he stands in the corner and does nothing, and his shot is so bad he's useless in that role. its a horrible strategy. if you want him to develop, he should be in the g league or coming off the bench as a backup pg. i mean, do you have to get cojo 20 minutes a night? is it in his contract or something? the team sucks. there's little point in playing cojo so much.
  2. not legally it doesnt. i dont know why you completely excuse martin's actions. your theory allows anyone who is confronted verbally to have license to beat the shit out of someone, and you think that's ok? i get it, zimmerman was wrong. zimmerman should go to jail for shooting martin. i agree with you. but martin is not blameless, even if he is a black guy.
  3. two bad teams out here being bad...
  4. zimmerman initiated it and then killed a man. he deserved to spend time in jail.
  5. how was martin defending himself? from what? if someone yells at you in the street are you legally entitled to go up to him and beat his ass? is that your new standard? you can think zimmerman was in the wrong and still think martin didnt act within the boundaries of a legally justified response.
  6. psst...lions are likely to be picking top 3 next year too..
  7. fight back doesnt mean shoot and kill. at least it doesnt to me. zimmerman initiated the confrontation. martin escalated it and ended up beating zimmerman. you can defend yourself without deadly force. i would have convicted zimmerman of something, but i'm not sure what? it wasnt a cut and dry case for sure, but i wouldnt absolve zimmerman for any fault that occurred. in the every day vernacular: "zimmerman started it."
  8. killian does play good defense. got to give him that.
  9. that's what i want from cade. threes.
  10. isnt that sequence why cade isnt youre typical #1 pick? green has his flaws but can get to the rim and make an occasional 3. cade gets wacked at the rim and cant finish. cade is best with the ball in his hands and threatening to shoot 3s. but if that's the case, how does he play with killian who cant shoot, and if he doesnt have the ball in his hands he is useless in this offense?
  11. you cant run an offense with killian standing in the corner.
  12. i dont see it this year. they are really thin and two of their top contributors are rookies who is suspect will tire as the season goes on. and i still feel like yzerman may deal someone like leddy at the deadline.
  13. sure, but they also look much more organized.
  14. the republicans running mtg is a democrats' wet dream. elizabeth warren might even be able to best her... of course the democrats would probably nominate cori bush just to make it a fair fight on the ol' national unelectable scale...
  15. but she doesnt get away with it, she is extremely unpopular.
  16. has there been an american female candidate who embraced it like thatcher? An "iron lady" who embraced her inner bit...ummm...cantankerousness? i dont know if that would fly in america on a national scale.
  17. its not a bigger story than trump's personality issues. people were very motivated to vote against trump for those reasons. but it was an issue for warren.
  18. i agree. i would say its a personality thing. it has a lot to do with her being a woman too.
  19. i have those old dr suess books. i'm hoping they go up in value one day so i can get $5 for them!
  20. i dont think she's boring, i her personality rubs people the wrong way and she's hamstrung herself with the native american stuff. people have formed their opinions about her.
  21. another underrated aspect of the primary campaign was biden's perceived control of "the center." a lot of candidates who could have been really good centrist candidates (imo) like harris and sort of buttigieg (who tried a little harder to straddle the line) instead chose to tack to the left and go for those votes instead (especially harris). the road was open for harris to be "obama like" and be a centrist, prosecutor technocrat and she chose to triple down on being the twitter candidate. i mean, when asked about medicare for all they all raised their hands except kloubachar, i think. in fairness to them, the candidates who tried to remain in the center (kloubachar and sort of buttigieg) never got any traction. the dems nominating warren would be a gift to the gop. an old white woman liberal from TAXachusetts? that's the perfect liberal to run against. add in the native american stuff that they will continually bring up and she'd get slaughtered.
  22. isnt this the one time theyre on espn all year?
