as noted above half the league is interested. so it will have to be a first. rumors - take them for what theyre worth - say that buffalo wants a first and a young, ready prospect. that means cozens for the wings' first plus kasper or edvinsson plus salary filler, likely copp. i wouldnt do either of those deals but i dont really know a ton about cozens. a cautionary tale might be mittelstadt last year. traded straight up for byram. byram has been good and middlestadt has been garbage. so much so that colorado is now looking to move him. otoh, sam reinhat and jack eichel turned out ok once they got out of saber hell. apparently the islanders are shopping noah dobson too.
