Time to blow this team up? Or stay the course?
buddha replied to AlaskanTigersFan's topic in Detroit Red Wings
Jiricek traded to minnesota for a dman, a conditional first, a second, a third and a fourth (spaced out over the next 3 drafts). i would never make that deal if i'm detroit. -

its ridiculous. they should ban it. -
walman is understandable to me. he was weak and a front runner. talented, but not really a "defenseman." the fact they had to attach a pick to give him up tells you how the league sees him. he's doing well as a good player on a crap team. with that said, gothisbere is a little harder to explain. like ive said before, if you dont spend on tarasenko then you can afford ghost and dont need to sign gustafson, who has been a disaster.

whatever. teams have been "planting the flag" for years. michigan did it two years ago without incident. texas did it at michigan this year. i find it annoying, but its almost to be expected now. and instead of walking off the field and granting the winners their due, osu decided to attack them, take the flag and try to destroy it. yet gus decides to take MICHIGAN to task. maybe he thinks michigan should be above such petty activities and is upset that they would lower thenselves. however, the fault in this instance is with ohio state. maybe gus is a michigan gan trying to cover it up (he did go to my high school, go cubs!), but today he was annoying and very much in the bucknuts' pocket. -

ohio state dominated michigan for 20 years, this is very very sweet. -

yes but.... with as much talent as they have every year, they should probably be better. as hard as that is to believe. -

like mcs said, the only other ones i can think of were 1969 and the year shawn springs slipped and michigan won a similar game in cbus. 1969 was against an osu team that had not lost in 2 years. but it was in ann arbor. -

you lost the game, you take the "L". i dont like to see michigan act that way but they won. they can talk and plant flags and do all that crap. osu has to take it. theyre the ones who overreacted. learn how to lose. you'd figure theyd be used to losing to michigan by now. lol. gus johnson is such a bitch. -
Week Thirteen: Chicago Bears (4-7) @ Detroit Lions (10-1)
buddha replied to MichiganCardinal's topic in Detroit Lions
nyah. this is the bears. you've been saying for the last two years they were about to fire eberflus. and if they were a normal organization, you would have been correct. but theyre the bears. theyre the epitome of stupid. my favorite bears joke was that when they fired gm RYAN pace and coach MATT nagy, they hired gm RYAN poles and coach MATT eberflus so virginia mccaskey would be able to remember their names... i also would have taken "the bears were too cheap to get new nametags for their doors..." -

yeah, but this is the bears. they made eberflus do a press conference this morning at 9 am and then fired him at 10. the mccaskeys make the fords look like the rooneys. the time to do a complete house cleaning was last year. they had the #1 pick with a great qb class available. get rid of eberflus and his whole staff and let harbaugh or pete carroll or someone else come in and run the show. if harbaugh didnt want poles as gm, then you fire him too. but the mccaskeys dont run a business designed to win, they run a franchise more concerned with loyalty and romanticism about the past. theyre idiots born with a silver football in their mouths. they are sitting on the most valuable franchise other than dallas and they let it sit and collect dust. i hate the bears because theyre the bears. but i doubly hate them because they are SO STUPID. its offensive. -

love it. score score score. makes even the last few minutes of a blow out important enough for PLAYERS TO TRY. i know its strange to watch nba players try to score for the entire game in a regular season affair. were so used to them loafing their way through meaningless regular season games that seeing them try to score points late in a blowout is disconcerting. -

a good ol fashioned ass whuppin. even ausar scored! -
no ****! the bulls owe their pick thia year to san antonio of it falls outside the top ten. the bulls are desperate to tank and keep that pick. they would do almost anything to get rid of lavine and vuc, but who is going to take those contracts?

ausar only works if you have 3 or 4 other lights out shooters. when he is on the floor youre playing 4 on 5 on offense. 3 on 5 when he's out there with holland. yeah yeah backdoor cuts, dunkers position...yeah yeah. he HAS to improve his shooting to play in today's nba. in fairness to ausar, they havent surrounded him with shooting talent. -

hey, ausar's shooting 25% from 3 this year! up from 18% last year! last year he had more air balls from 3 than made shots from 3, so it wont take much to show an improvement there. -

i dont know if youve checked out the sixers' record yet but that game actually seems winnable. especially since their best players are paul george and joel embiid. sixers may actually start to tank soon.
