i dont look at it as a reward as much as an easy opportunity for the league to market itself and one of its best players in germany. and they continue to ignore it.
the lions will get plenty of good games in good time slots.
but they havent announced anything yet. they just announce cowboys and chiefs games, and give international games to teams no one cares about.
seems stupid to me.
the cowboys and chiefs were two of the most watched teams last year and every year and theyve had multiple announcements and will also be on "when they need viewers."
the league seems to be treating the lions like the old lions. that no one is interested or this is a flash in the pan.
no international games when they have an obvious link to germany with a star player who is half german and speaks the language.
no xmas games.
no early release dates so far.
the lions were a great story the last two years and the league has ignored them so far.
jrue holliday would be a good fit but i'd be worried about his age. i'd rather have derrick white....but then again most team's would so he'll cost more.
glasgow is a candidate to get cut. if one of the rookies can play center - plus all the centers/iol's they have from last year they were developing yields one solid player - then i would bet glasgow does get cut.
