they had to pay seider and raymond. that will be the reason they give. my response would be you had kasper, mazur, and potentially danielson in the AHL and instead you spent money on motte, veleno, fisher, and gustaffson. (not to mention copp and compher but those were signed for other reasons). there's your money savings to pay for ghost.

i cant wait for the pistons theme song, coupled with a hype video featuring Tom Gores shooting t shirts into the stands, Tom Gores walking the sidelines, and Tom Gores doing charity projects.

walman went from being underrated to very overrated very quickly. he was a good offenaive defenseman who was a liability on defense, was not physical, and could be pushed around. go back to the ottawa debacle and you'll see them target him every time. and he folded. couple that with the behind the scenes rumors about his attitude and i see why they moved him. and the fact that they had to attach a pick to it tells you what they league really thought about him. he's not on a bad deal, but they couldnt move him, and the only team that took him was the worst team in the league.

SEC is whooping the big ten's ass in ratings this year. only michigan-usc and ohio state-oregon delivered big ratings for the big ten. michigan-texas did too. most of the marquee big ten games are still to come like penn state-ohio state, michigan-oregon, and michigan-ohio state, but the big ten needs to step it up. but this is just going to highlight the deadweight in these conferences. why do northwestern, purdue, illinois and other schools get the same amount as michigan and ohio state? at least 1/2 the schools in the big ten are a drag on the conference and bring nothing to the table. when the super conference arrives, things may look very different. for the immediate future, the networks are going to want to see the big boys play each other every year. none of this 2024 penn state schedule with one big game on it. the big boys will have to run the gamut.

better than four other teams in the east. all of whom are trying to tank this year (except for the bulls who are just bad). -

almost all those linemen are seniors. well, except the 3* kids they decided to play at right tackle and center. -
the browns cant take garrett's cap hit AND watson's guaranteed money cap hit. their books are going to be amazingly effed up. otoh, they ****ed up enormously signing watson for that much guaranteed money and they are basically screwed for the next three years until he's off the books. they cant cut him. also otoh, the browns need to get rid of anything of value and get picks. theyre done for the next two or three seasons.

not so sure. there are obviously significant elements within the donor base that dislike harbaugh. i can see there being an institutional aversion to bringing another harbaugh in. and the natural reaction from "untested assistant coach" (which moore is) is to go to "tested head coach". and we also dont know who will be available or who the next hot prospect will be. -

there's no excuse for the oline to be this bad. no excuse for them not to know how to use orji. they just came into this year thinking they were going to run last year's offense without multiple nfl draft picks and a first round nfl qb. again, moore is al avila. he was there when the hall of fame coach/gm left so he got hired. as if coaching pixie dust will rub off. and now were stuck. theyre going to lose all the rest of their games except northwestern, they'll lose recruits, and the cycle will begin. next year will be a "prove it" year and they wont prove it. but they wont fire him because "he needs time to put his plan into place". so the program will degrade and the next coach will come in with nothing. only this time there isnt a harbaugh available to save them. -

once jj declared there were not any qbs left in the portal. most of those things are worked out well ahead of time. well before the portal "opens." -

harbaugh's departure hamstrung an administration that is bereft of the ability to think outside the box. moore was available, cheap, and required no effort to hire. he's michigan's Al Avila. if moore is 5-7 with a loss to michigan state and an embarassment at osu, does he stay? i think so because there is no way they fire him after one season. -

Indiana got a new coach who actually knows how to coach and look at them now. michigan will muddle along with moore for a couple years and watch the program crater. -

they'll be lucky if they only lose 7. i know the harbaugh decision put moore in a bad space, but everything about this offseason and this INseason have told me he is in way over his head. there is no reason to watch them this season, they may not even make it to a bowl game. we'll see if they give him the resources to load up in the portal next year. theyre going to lose all their good players. let's see how mad the alumni get after ohio state beats them 50-0. i'm not even trying to be funny, theyre going to beat michigan so bad. -
seider has taken a step forward this year. he's regained his physical nature and he's taking a lot more offensive initiative. he's bringing the puck into the o zone and not just dumping it in. edvinsson and seider can hopefully grow into a physical defensive pairing.

a much needed win, even if they were outshot by almost double.

whomp whomp. 😞

1-1! kasper with his first assist. 🙂

theyre getting worked early in nashville. nashville was due for a win.

of course there will be collective bargaining. i wonder if one of the terms will be you have to go to x amount of classes per year? maybe....if x = 0....

i think there is a flu bug going through the team. larkin was almost a scratch and then played. he looked off. kasper was called up under "emergency circumstances". whatever that means. i think it means half the team is sick.

Kasper called up.
