jared allen in his prime got one first round pick plus some mid rounders. why does the bears' overpay for mack have to be the baseline? in hindsight, the bears went 12-4 with mack...and then 8-8, 8-8, and 6-10. in fairness to mack, he had to carry mitch "biscuit" trubisky around too.

by the time jalen duren reaches his peak (andre drummond who can shoot free throws), he'll be extremely overpaid or on another team. or both.

ausar is a much better athlete than holland. holland looks stiff. ausar is a world class defender already.

atrocious defense. holland looks very much like a rookie who cant shoot. a less athletic ausar thompson. i cant see how those two ever play on the court together. cade gets frustrated cause the officials still wont give him any respect.

you should have heard them complain after the lions game. fans are fans. that said, that's a 15 yard penalty and a first down at the 20(ish) yard line as opposed to the game being pretty much over. its a huge miss. bugs me because now the viking fans feel aggrieved when if they looked at it without bias, they'd see that flores' vaunted defense has been carved up two games in a row and san darnold is who we thought he was. and this time, they didnt let him off the hook.

the devils are weird. they just gave up 8 goals, and 6 to the caps, and then 5 in this game after dominating possession and scoring chances. i really dislike new jersey because the league gifted them multiple top picks and screwed the wings.

true. the real worrying thing is that other than ASP they dont seem to have a high end offensive skill player in the entire system. not unless raymond suddenly turns into the guy he was at the end of last year.

doing what? icing the puck? lobbing it up the boards to center ice? the entire wings front line did almost nothing all game. they got lucky that markstrom was off his game and they have Kane. nobody other than kane is creating much of anything. watching the devils possess the puck, pass, move, forecheck and shoot and then watching the wings desperately try to corral the puck and then dump it to center ice over and over and over is like watching them two or three years ago. to someone's earlier point, what was the point of re-signing veleno? what does he do that kasper doesnt?

they got their asses kicked and won by 2 goals. lol. they have no offense other than the opponent turning the pick over and their goalie having a bad night. its frighteningly bad.

first round pick marcus sasser with a grand total of 3 minutes. i will miss JEIII telling me he and isaiah livers were the missing pieces to a solid team.

sam darnold will turn back into sam darnold at some point. i'd much rather have him on the vikings than matt stafford. stafford is a much better qb. but the vikes drafted a qb in the first round last year. dealing their limited draft capital for an old qb like stafford doesnt seem like a solid long term move. otoh, flags fly forever.

would have been nice to have him on mathurin. otoh, it would allow indy to just have a floater on defense to clog the lane and double cade because ausar is useless on offense.

cade missed an open three and a bunch of tough layups in the 4th. but if you want to be a max player and an all star, you have to make those when it counts. or at least draw fouls. hey, its only one game. and last year he looked great in game one against miami (also a loss). so lets all settle down. and besides, in the grand scheme of things you should want them to lose. need that #5 pick again!
