  1. I'm kinda shocked Bowey is still in the AHL honestly
  2. They will have to sign 6 UFA and 4 RFA skaters though....it will be interesting to see how they decide to spend it. This is probably Ehlers' last big contract at age 29 so he might want to test FA to get the most money with teams eyeing that cap increase. Pionk is kind of in the same boat for them too. Just at a quick glance I'd say Ehlers is probably....one of the top 3 or 4 pending UFA with Marner, Bennett and maybe.... Boeser and Donato? Among forwards at least.
  3. Hey his right hand man Verbeek got poached pretty quickly for the Anaheim gig 😂
  4. It is just about DnD time for me so hopefully me not watching is good luck
  5. I think the defense got a stick on it, but still..... brutal
  6. Compher misses an empty net, scared my dog yelling in disbelief
  7. Blah, there's the tie game Holl gets outmuscled by a midget in front of the net, sad!
  8. Wings holding on but I have a bad feeling about where this is headed
  9. Shots are 24-5 after 1 period in favor of the Wings, up 1-0. Quiet around here...
  10. What a pass to Larkin to make it 1-0, shots 15-2 Red Wings half way through the first
  11. Someone on HFBoards pointed out that the defenseman MBN burned on goal two was 2023 St. Louis Blues' first round pick Theo Lindstein
  12. That was one of the funniest throws I've seen in a while, thank you Colt Keith.
  13. I think Seider is hurt a bit right now but I also think he's trying to do too much at times, running himself out of position in his own zone. He's still young I'm not worried but his play has slipped a bit this season it looks like to me. At least every now and then you see him doing some great/creative things he was doing his rookie season that Lalonde seemed to drill out of him.
  14. With those points Nate passed Kasper's point total last season in GR (38 vs 35) in 6 less games.
  15. For all that is said for the Walman trade situation I really think the Wings did a great job picking up Kiiskinen in picking up that extra second round pick they shipped out. Especially "selling high" on Gibson who seemed to take a big step back this season in the Predators' org. Hmmm allegedly the Wings pushed to sign him after this season. He seems like he could be a solid bottom six / PKer.
  16. Would love Knies on the Wings but it feels like a pipedream to me for some reason
  17. God we are so cooked as a country, being run by a bunch of conmen
  18. Totally agree with you, from the little I've seen of him this year he looks like one of the best players on the ice. I hope he can put some muscle / weight on this offseason and challenge for one of the roster spots [hopefully] opened up by Smith/Motte or maybe Berggren/Kane if they trade/relinquish Berggren and don't re-sign Kane (and I'm assuming they re-sign Elmer to a cheap RFA contract). Also wouldn't mind the Wings getting creative to get rid of Tarasenko and/or Rasmussen.
  19. I hope they just keep using Lombardi at wing, lets him play his game more.
  20. Correct, since it is a two way contract the player earns less if he is not in the NHL. I'm actually not sure if that is standardized too or if it can be negotiated. It would be interesting to see a NIL vs ELC breakdown honestly.
  21. I'm being pedantic but he doesn't have a deal with the Wings because he has to stay an amateur to play in the NCAA. They just own his rights through his senior season. I think the most he can make on his entry level contract is $950k a year plus bonuses that are capped at something like....15% of the annual salary? Something like that.
