Wings had some moments in the first against the Ducks but I thought they largely looked pretty bad. The Ducks' forecheck is causing a lot of problems for them as their defenders are really taking their time moving the puck out of the zone. They're probably lucky to be tied 0-0 still, Gibson made some good saves. I absolutely loathe having to listen to the Ducks broadcast!

Can't edit my post but the Griffins released the goalie they signed to a PTO to backup yesterday (OT win with Lombardi scoring the winner) so that's a positive sign that Cossa will dress Friday. Gylander now has half as many points as Holl in two games played!

Grand Rapids is notoriously tight lipped on injuries but it sounds like Cossa is day to day (not playing tonight) and Postava is going to be out "longer".

It seemed like he was trying to get Dart killed with all the designed runs. Plus he tried to interfere with Dart getting evaluated for a concussion the other week, I felt like Daboll was doing whatever he could to keep his job not what was best for the team.

They always need more depth scoring for sure. At least DeBrincat is heating up a bit and Kane might come back after this road trip. For as much as I've said I didn't want them to re-sign Kane I miss him when he isn't on their power play. The Wings apparently have been sniffing around depth forwards for a trade so maybe they add some punch somehow.

Mazur and Danielson are still over a ppg at least I think it is a good thing they added the vets to the Griffins roster, it seemed like last season the team really suffered from not having that element. It certainly is a better team in front of Cossa which is what I was hoping for so he'd have a better chance for sustained success. Danielson not having to literally do everything for the Griffins should allow him to maybe focus on his offense a bit.

It seems like Raymond is finally feeling almost 100% after his injury, he looked really good against the Sharks from what I saw

I guess there are worse things in the world than making a million bucks to play hockey in San Diego.

Maybe Kasper's first was a high stick but I think it was the right call to go with what was on the ice, I didn't think the replays were conclusive either way because of him slapping down his stick to make contact. To me if it could go either way you go with the call on the ice. I highly doubt the NHL has a conspiracy to make the Wings win a regular season game against a Western team in October.
