Intriguing that it is Kasper + all regulars

Absent rigging the draft lottery somehow, I'm not sure what Yzerman should have done differently in his tenure to acquire a superstar. It is tough to rebuild in the NHL and the team + prospect pool was absolutely awful when he took over.

I thought Motte looked pretty good last night, I'm happy to have him as an energy + PK guy if he plays that hard every night. Fischer I'm less excited about but he seems to have chemistry with Rasmussen and Copp, plus I think Yzerman values roster stability too now that they're trying to make the playoffs. I feel like I'm less eager to force in young guys than you two, but I also think Kasper should be on the team so I can't really disagree with you too much.

After some not great plays I thought Danielson looked pretty dang good last night. I don't think he has a chance to make the team based on him having to clean up some stuff. Might be a chance of Kasper making the team though he's having a strong camp and preseason so far. I thought Watson looked alright last night despite him being kinda dumb (passed up a puck that was ricocheting to him alone in front of the net to try and go check someone) but he does bring an element the Wings don't have. I am starting to wonder if he makes the team.

Wow Lombardi just made a really nice move and shot to tie the game. Made Grzelcyk look real bad.

I thought the move from the top of the post from before the compilation post was pretty slick, granted I did not watch the game so you have a better idea than me! He most likely will settle into a role like you mentioned in the NHL, but it'll be interesting to see how much offense he shows.

Buch was in a small "slump" but with 3 assists this last game he's back to a point per game pace

One of my favorite Tony Twist facts is that he sued Todd McFarlane because he included a mob character in the Spawn comics named Antonio "Tony Twist" Twistelli. Think Tony ended up getting a few million bucks out of it.

I think you might be reading into the less than Larkin stuff too much. They have just over $8.7 million in space right now, which is Larkin's cap hit. Seider's contract also buys out RFA years whereas Larkin's was buying out full UFA years so those are theoretically going to bring in a lower cap hit based on how the teams treat RFA vs UFA.

Never a doubt! Could be a steal in the end.
