  1. I would have too. I don’t get the logic in pitching to the guy. Double play was the only hope they had.
  2. Jack Flaherty has seen this movie before. Ridiculous.
  3. This game is over.
  4. Thank you. Sounds like they did well on the seating.
  5. Just another day at the office.
  6. Last years two trips were to Washington DC and Boston.
  7. I actually called about this trip not long after it was posted on the site. I inquired as to where the seats were located for the games. The lady I had a conversation with about the trip details did not know the location of the seats. Do you have any idea about the seat location(s) for the games?
  8. The Tigers Fans Vacation tour will attend this series. Recently the Tigers, in cooperation with a travel agency(s) do two road trips per year. This one was two days in Cooperstown in addition to all three games versus the Yankees. It also included one full day in NY City to do whatever you preferred. I’m sure it would be a lot of fun. All travel, tickets, and lodging are covered to and from New York. The second trip this year is in August to when the Tigers visit San Francisco. That itinerary looks like a good one as well.
  9. Erie is in Richmond the last week of this month. I hope he’s back in the rotation by then.
  10. Iran attacked Israel on April 13th. Trump’s trial began on the 15th. Israel retaliated to Iran’s attack of the 13th on April 19th. I believe your comment above is beyond anything that be proven at this point considering the other events outside Trump’s trial. The attack and counter attack between Iran and Israel are far more relevant to the ongoing protests than Trump’s trial.
  11. Flaherty has to be asking himself, where were my six runs!!!!
  12. The following was clipped from a current piece in the Carolina Journal. Russia nor Iran has anything to do with this national fiasco happening on campuses. The very schools dealing with these protests are realizing the fruit of their own labor. Carolina Journal piece below: “For years, anti-Israel faculty have indoctrinated students to vilify Israel and dehumanize Jews. This is outright antisemitism. When Hamas attacked Israel in 2021, 110 UNC faculty and 75 Duke faculty signed a letter siding with Hamas. Language has been changed so that the word “terrorism” is now “resistance” and thus justified, as long as Jews are the target. Students are taught that a country called “Palestine” exists, when it does not; that there is an occupation, where there is none; and more. Jewish history is erased and delegitimized. When Jewish leaders and community members repeatedly voiced their concerns to both the University of North Carolina and Duke University, the administrations shrugged. Activism has now become part of the curriculum in our state, even in K-12 schools. In the Chapel Hill-Carrboro school district for example, the strategic plan includes social justice action, which is not clearly defined. It’s no surprise then that students coming to campus expect to participate in social action, whatever the cause. Since so many faculty, including the UNC Faculty for Justice in Palestine, push the anti-Israel agenda, students fall in line and advocate for something they don’t understand. “
  13. Agree. I hate this more for Flaherty than the team as a whole. The dude deserved to win this game. I had a pretty good feeling this team couldn’t finish it and they came through.
  14. I read up a bit on him when Harris signed him. I was very happy with the signing. His story is interesting. He fell out of favor with a lot of the Cardinals fan base as he was apparently outspoken in favor of the BLM movement during the height of the national unrest. I still think he’s got upside from here. Glad he’s a Tiger. His hero is Bob Gibson. Not a bad choice.
  15. Chafin in for Flaherty.
  16. Flaherty at 78 pitches through six innings.
  17. Flaherty identifies as black.
  18. The offense is painful to non existent. If Flaherty’s start is wasted…
  19. Tork wants to know when Hinch is going to visit him in the off-season to learn what makes him tick.
  20. A win today locks in a winning record at the end of April.
  21. I miss Harry Caray. He was a homer and he was a fan and above all else, he was entertaining. Corporate MLB wouldn’t have a place for Harry today. Harry had more interesting real life stories than the jocks could bring and never stood in a batters box. There is nothing personal, but as long as Monroe or Scales is on radio, I’m likely not tuning in for an extended period of time. I enjoyed Petry when he worked with Dan. I’m OK with Dirks. I like Gania and Hasty both. Frankly, I believe the color guy in these games is not necessary. They don’t really add to the content. For example, Dan tells you the ball is hit on a line drive down the left field line and X the left fielder digs it out if the corner and batter Y is in with a stand up double. I don’t need this play regurgitated by some color guy trying to enhance the description with pointless overkill. I don’t care!!! It is annoying. Signed, Boomer
  22. At the conclusion of today’s game, the Tigers have scored 107 runs while surrendering 107 runs.
  23. Ah yes, who could ever forget Papa Grande! 😬
