  2. We are 3-1 and the defense is allowing the 9th fewest points per game of any team in the NFL.
  3. But that's happening every week. Lions beat the Rams, Rams go onto lose 41-10 to the Cardinals; Lions lose to the Bucs, Bucs go onto lose 26-7 to the Broncos; Lions beat the Cardinals, Cardinals go onto lose 42-14 to the Commanders; Lions beat the Seahawks, Seahawks go onto lose 29-20 to the Giants. We are getting teams' best punch. They know we are one of the teams to beat in the NFC, and they're leaving it all on the field. I don't see any relation to Aaron Glenn.
  4. But the Bengals are better than 99% of 1-4 teams. And even if they're not, it's what their front office is thinking. It's not just Zac Taylor on the line, Duke Tobin's seat is hot too. And he's not going to get an extension by selling their best players.
  5. I think it’s wishful thinking to think an all-in Bengals team is selling two games out of the wildcard with 12 left to play.
  6. They’re only two games back. Lots of football left to play and they looked better than the Ravens at times today.
  7. My childhood QBs were Joey Harrington, Jeff Garcia, and Jon Kitna before Matt Stafford came along, so consider yourself lucky.
  8. I think the Vikings are the definition of peaking at the wrong time. They might end at 12-5. They might even win the North (though I’m far from counting that chicken, Detroit and Green Bay both beg to differ). But they feel like a first round exit to me.
  9. It would be a very Browns move to can a 2x and reigning COTY five weeks into the season. Their problem is Watson. They need to Russell Wilson him, no matter the financial cost.
  10. I agree. And I’m not here to defend the media, but it feels like it’s been much more gradual than Biden’s. Maybe that’s just because he loves to hear himself talk, so he’s constantly in front of a microphone saying something stupid, while Biden I hear maybe 3-5 times a year.
  11. I agree. I enjoy it as well and normally I do go in person. I’m in and out of Michigan though right now for work, and I think as of right now I’ll be in DC on Election Day. That should be a trip, maybe they’ll change their mind if they think a state of emergency is going to be declared. But that’s why I voted absentee this year.
  12. Dropped off my absentee ballot in the mailbox this morning. All the political ads will stop now right?
  13. Game one is always important, but it feels like Cleveland needs a win today more than Detroit does. If Detroit can pull this off Cleveland will have to steal one from Skubal. No easy task.
  14. Back and forth game so far with the bye week. What a Moran.
  15. And Hodge gets a game winning 45-yard TD reception in overtime, just how everyone predicted.
  16. Just heard KhaDarel Hodge's name get called in Thursday Night Football. I can't believe there is a veteran WR who was on that 2021 Lions team and is still in the NFL.
  17. I get this, but if they pitch Skubal in 2&5 and then go LWLL so he only pitches once, it doesn't really inspire confidence that they would have pulled out a game five if you could do it all over and have him pitch 1&4. He won't play in three games this series. They can't go 0/3 in those games, no matter what order they come in. For at least one game, the bullpen will have to carry them. If they can make that happen in game one, I give them an 80% chance or better of winning the series with two Skubal starts to go.
  18. This is a good point too. The day after Skubal pitches you can usually assume everyone but Skubal is available. Using 7+ arms on Saturday, they'd all be back for Tuesday and you'd have a full bullpen to get creative with between games three and four.
  19. I think 2 & 5 makes the most sense. Five days rest for game two, four days rest for game five. No matter how you slice it you have to win at least one non-Skubal game. It doesn't matter which game that is, it just has to happen.
  20. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Brad Allen get assigned this game as an arrogant "f- you, we don't care what you think" move from the officiating supervisors.
  21. Usually they go home during the bye. I expect Goff will be in California. Jamo will probably be there though.
  22. There is a default setting on YouTube TV that delays live sports feeds by ~30 seconds. It's to account for network interruptions. If your internet goes out for less than the delay, you never know because the feed just adjusts automatically. I learned this when I was getting play updates for Lions games before I saw them. If you have a fast and reliable network though, I recommend shutting it off. I did and haven't had any issues.
  23. If it's like the Lions, they charge season ticket holders immediately as long as you opt in during the season. Though tickets on StubHub aren't that bad right now. $83 before fees for the cheapest ticket. It's a 1pm game on a Wednesday though, so makes sense.
