  1. Been waiting on calls of the game all week, glad to see it’s in the works.
  2. Yup. "Quiet! Offense at work!" would be better written as "Shut the f up you idiots!!"
  3. How did Moseley add an injury in week one without playing??
  4. Muscle boy’s got the jokes this week.
  5. The Jets would only want Bridgewater because they didn’t sign Bridgewater. We did. Don’t be like the Jets.
  6. We just need to educate the crowd though. It always drives me crazy when somebody would start a "Let's Go Lions" chant when we are on offense and the offensive players would have to quiet the crowd. It's not that hard - NOISE on defense, QUIET on offense.
  7. I read today as well that even if the Jets find a potential trade partner for a veteran (or someone like Kyler Murray), their 1st and 2nd round picks next year cannot be traded, because the option doesn’t vest until the end of the season. They would have to re-negotiate the trade with Green Bay first, which wouldn’t come for free.
  8. Still better than this. Hutch will have a field day if they actually start him.
  9. I didn't realize Decker played every snap last year and has gone 1,212 snaps in a row. He may push to go if he can.
  10. He played nearly three quarters on that ankle, which is damn impressive. If he misses a few weeks, wonder if they slide Penei to the left and have Nelson play RT. Nelson did not impress in the preseason, but I'm sure he will do better next to Vaitai and Ragnow as compared to players not on the team anymore.
  11. NFLVerse puts 4th & 1 success rates at 65% from 2013-2022. With Zach Wilson as your QB though in a 13-13 defensive battle late in the 4th, I'm not going to chance it for what likely amounts to an extra minute of time off the clock. It worked out, so kudos to him for that. But this isn't the first time he's made what I would characterize as very questionable decisions related to clock management.
  12. I would rather give him an extra minute down 3 than an extra minute with the score tied.
  13. I don't agree, and I'm a guy who usually gives the benefit of the doubt to the head coach in all timing situations. You get gift wrapped the ball at the Buffalo 27. After three plays you are facing 4th & 1 from the Buffalo 18 with 2:50 remaining in a 13-13 game where your defense has pitched a shut out in the second half and you have Zach freaking Wilson as your QB. Never mind Josh Allen having forgotten how to pass the ball. Kick the damn field goal and go up 3, let your defense win the game. Instead, he went for it on a QB sneak (which with Wilson easily could have failed), ultimately gained four more yards, bled only 1:02 off the clock, and still kicked the field goal... Which still allowed Buffalo to go kick a field goal to send it to OT. If you are up in the game (like the Lions were against the Chiefs), it's a completely different story. If you don't get it, you're still up, and your defense can still win the game. Go for the throat and don't give them the ball back. To be clear, I think he was too aggressive, not too conservative. And I'm not sure where you get the idea of throwing it from, I definitely wouldn't do that (because I wouldn't go for it on 4th down).
  14. Never mind the season, this might be the end of his career. If it's a full rupture, at his age, even an aggressive rehab timeline probably doesn't guarantee him being 100% by 2024 training camp.... I don't know if that's worth it for him at this point. So does he go into Canton as a Packer or as a Jet? Too soon?
  15. He can't manage a clock to save his life. He had a 4th and 1 tied at 13 with 2:10 left on the Bills 20 and went for it instead of going up 3... Worked out, in the sense they gained a yard on a QB sneak, they then had to kick basically the same field goal when they didn't gain a yard on the next series. And then twice on the Bills last possession, he called timeouts that helped the Bills. I think he saved them from a delay of game on one of them. Reminded me of his gross clock mismanagement against the Lions last season.
  16. Robert Saleh is an idiot and I am glad Speilman wasn't interested.
  17. If the Jets somehow win this game, I think it's fair to say the three New York teams had the three worst opening games, despite two of them playing each other.
  18. Actually though Lions-Chargers might get flexed to SNF in week ten. It's currently Jets-Raiders.
  19. NFL officials probably have the game on one screen while actively flexing the Jets out of three of their remaining primetime games on the other screen.
  20. It looked like the LT gave the world's worst cut block on the play that injured Rodgers. It was delayed and the edge rusher just stepped around it, without anyone else picking him up.
  21. I mean, the Giants managed to not kill their 40-year-old quarterback before he could complete a pass, so there is that.
