INSANE!!!! I’ve never experienced anything like the scene exiting Arrowhead tonight. Lions fans were EVERYWHERE. Embracing, hugging, chanting. Top moment I’ve experienced live in my lifetime.

Frustrating half. The 91-yard drive showed what could be. And then a couple dumb mistakes kept this from being a tie game. Likewise on the defense, one 3/17 stop from a tie game. Needs to happen. At the same time, it could be worse. Really need a stop coming out. Don’t need to go down two scores.

The secondary looked awful on the last three plays there. That’s not Mahomes. Any NFL wide receiver can get open on that.

Felt like 97 has been held a couple times without a call

I have to think that if there is a team who will come into Arrowhead and say “**** your dynasty” with a punch to the jaw, it’s the MCDC led Lions.

Going with the all whites. Picking up where we left off.

Most 0-2 teams are bad so the playoff stats make sense. I don’t think starting 0-2 would mean the Lions are bad though. I think it’s a real possibility that each of their first three opponents make the playoffs. If you can get out of that at 2-1, you’ve done a good job, and if you get out at 1-2 I think you’ve survived. The bye week will be a better benchmark than week three. If they’re 4-4 they’re in good position to ascend like they did last year. If they’re 5-3 (or better), they’re in really good shape. If they have a losing record into the bye, I’ll start to worry.

I do think there is some value to this. I’d rather my elite receiving option miss one game, use ten days to rest, and be 80% at the next game than have him be at 30% for 4-6 games as he slowly nurses it and re-injures it on a weekly basis.

I think this might be right. He might be "active" without being active.

Given Moseley’s lack of any meaningful preseason action, I would probably prefer Jacobs anyway, at least to give Moseley another 10 days to get his legs under him. Jacobs played well enough down the stretch last year. Certainly not shut down, but he held his own.

Fun fact of the day: Dan Campbell is 15-4 ATS as an underdog of 4+ points.

John Hussey’s officiating crew will have this game. He’s one of the better officials out there.

For me it’s all about the trenches. How does the healthy, full strength, Lions offensive line look against a Chiefs defensive line that is young and with question marks inside? How do Hutch, Harris, and Houston look against two new tackles for the Chiefs? Can Alim maintain the improvement seen at the end of last year, and who starts next to him? Second I want to see the rookies in their debuts. How does Gibbs look in space? Campbell’s job gets a lot easier if Kelce is out or limited, but how difficult is the transition to the NFL going to be for him? The KC receivers don’t scare me, but Mahomes can drop a ball into the tiniest of holes. How will Branch match that?

It’s Elon’s fault. When he went from Twitter to X a lot of software wasn’t prepared for it. It’ll take an update to this platform that probably isn’t even developed yet for them to embed. There’s a workaround that someone here mentioned but it’s a little complicated and multi-step.

I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve. Except instead of going to bed tonight I’m going to get on a plane to the North Pole and get to see first hand whether I get a ton of presents or coal. And one of Santa’s top coal producing elves is holding out for a better contract and another injured their knee yesterday.

In fairness, the cryptic tweets and childish removal of all things Lions by Buggs on his Twitter didn’t exactly scream “I’m the 49th best player on my team and I’m going to work hard to get better!”
