  1. I don’t think this would really change anything. 12-1 UM/OSU with a win over the other gets in.
  2. Discounting something truly crazy happening, like Georgia losing out, I think there are very few possibilities left for the four spots... 1. Georgia, TCU, and USC win out: (1) Georgia, (2) UM/OSU Winner, (3) TCU, (4) USC 2. Georgia wins out and one of TCU/USC loses: (1) Georgia, (2) UM/OSU Winner, (3) TCU/USC Survivor, (4) UM/OSU Loser 3. Georgia wins out and both TCU and USC lose: (1) Georgia, (2) UM/OSU Winner, (3) UM/OSU Loser, (4) Clemson/Alabama (who gets the 4th spot between Clemson and Alabama if Clemson wins the ACC would probably be the most controversial scenario) 4. LSU and TCU win out: (1) UM/OSU Winner, (2) TCU, (3) Georgia, (4) LSU 5. LSU and USC win out, and TCU loses: (1) UM/OSU Winner, (2) Georgia, (3) USC, (4) LSU 6. LSU wins out and both USC and TCU lose: (1) UM/OSU Winner, (2) Georgia, (3) UM/OSU Loser, (4) LSU Half include the UM/OSU loser still making it... I think #2 may be the most likely.
  3. With Tennessee losing today, I think all the loser of UM/OSU needs (in addition to a relatively close game) is for two of the following to happen: 1) Georgia to win the SEC, and/or 2) TCU loss (either to Iowa State or in the Big 12 Championship), and/or 3) USC loss (either to Notre Dame or in the Pac 12 Championship). 11-1 Michigan or 11-1 Ohio State will get in before any two-loss team. A 12-1 Clemson presents an interesting case, and I think if all three of the above happen they may make it over Alabama as the 4-seed (or 3-seed if the committee wants to avoid an immediate UM/OSU rematch), but I don't see them jumping far enough with wins over South Carolina and UNC to hop over either Michigan or Ohio State. Their 21-point loss to ND will be outweighed by a close loss to a playoff team. I think 1 is almost a sure thing. I think one of 2 or 3 happening is very likely too, if not both.
  4. Tennessee forgot to bring the defense on the bus with them.
  5. Ohio State had some injuries too. Stroud was limping for much of the 4th quarter, and their starting RG left with a lower body injury and didn't return. Henderson returned today after being out the last two games, and promptly exited after re-injuring himself.

  7. I think it'll stay put. 6-5 Baylor = 7-4 Illinois = 6-5 Maryland. 11-0 is 11-0.
  8. MD getting the ball with 40-some seconds left, down 6.
  9. Stroud is limping and their starting guard just went down.
  10. Ohio State scores to go up 12. Line up for 2, get called for delay of game. Send out the field goal unit for the XP instead and it's blocked and returned for a MD two-point defensive score. 10 point game.
  11. I agree. A team doesn't get to 11-0 by luck alone. They've definitely proven me wrong. I think Georgia would smoke them in a playoff game in a similar way Bama did MSU on their magical run. But Georgia would smoke the vast majority of FBS teams in a playoff game, and I'm not going to wait for them to lose a 13-0 vs. 13-0 game to plant a flag and say "see they suck I told you!"
  12. Impossible! 😉
  13. You would think their luck will run out eventually. Running out of time for the clock to strike midnight though. Home against 4-6 Iowa State and then the Big 12 Championship, which will probably be a rematch against Kansas State.
  14. Is there interest in a game thread for next week? Or do we want to keep it here?
  15. As fugly as that game was, I don't think it means all that much for next week. They have been looking and planning towards Ohio State for months. Same for Ohio State towards Michigan. If JJ performs that poorly down the stretch again, we're screwed, but that would have been the case anyway. The one notable exception is Corum and Edwards's health. We need them on the field.
  16. Love Harbaugh's tactics for getting out of any interview. "This guy right here!" *pulls kid into frame and runs away
  17. Thank God for Jake Moody.
  18. That should be it. In no other circumstance would they add a second to the clock.
  19. Finish these last nine seconds please.
  20. What are they doing. If you're going to spike it, wait until there's no time left.
  21. Run it, kick it, be the first team through the tunnel.
  22. Only need like 20-30 yards.
  23. TWO wide open touchdown passes that he missed on. If it's an L, it falls on his shoulders.
