Also only works if your manager and pitching coach are effective in putting the right pitcher in the right situation and preparing him for that situation.
And it takes special circumstances and a great deal of alignment between them and the front office. Probably won’t be repeated to any significant degree.
Micah Parsons week-to-week with high ankle sprain. PFT reports they are considering resting him for the next two weeks until their bye. He may not play against Detroit. Demarcus Lawrence on IR.
Detroit has not forgotten last year’s game. I agree this will be a statement game.
Cards had Pujols, Molina, and a bunch of other big name vets
Mets had young Tom Seaver, Tug McGraw, and Nolan Ryan.
64 Cards had young McCarver, Curt Flood, Lou Brock, Bob Gibson, oh and Roger Craig.
All I see is 17 seconds of Miller and Brown saying nobody has made a signal before they simply assumed it was a TD. Which was about the same thing that happened with Buck and Aikman. Embarrassing job by the officials.
2021 Seattle scored 51
2022 Seattle scored 48
2023 Seattle scored 37
Last night Seattle scored 29
Yes, Detroit’s secondary is improving. Seattle is just a good team. They have one of the best WR trios in the NFL. They have some very physical runners. Geno Smith gets the ball out fast and is hard to bring down. This is the NFL. Everyone has its share of good players and every team is going to make its share of good plays.
He got flagged almost immediately in the first game for DPI on a marginal call. Now he has the reputation of being “handsy” and all close calls go against him. DC will need to work on the refs and AG/DB coach need to work on his technique. But these DPI calls are all coming with TA in the hip pocket of the receiver. He always seems to be where he is supposed to be.
