  1. Anyone here have experience with any of these companies that add foam insulation to your house?
  2. Late adds to that list include Jerry Garcia, All of Motley Crue except the band dad Mick Mars
  3. yeah man the warehouses are one of the things that totally gets me in the Metallica movie as well! I also think...... having a multi-million dollar business w/ hundreds of lives depending on folks like................. Dave Mustaine...... Lars Ulrich...... Axl Rose...... the list goes on. Seems like that could be a really stressful way through life in some ways
  4. and all of those supporting staff dudes are top of their field as well. It's so awesome. I've watched videos where Trey runs down his guitar rig and I just walk away thinking he's gotta have several top flight techs to manage and maintain that as well. Oh how much fun it would be to have unlimited resources. It's really crazy to see how these things become a business and like any business you get people that are extremely specialized and good at their roles . I've mentioned it here before but Some Kind of Monster by Metallica gives similar kind of insight.
  5. man.... so not only do you get your own mix but you can tweak it yourself?! I presume you use the warmup/early morning rehearsal to get 98% of the way there in your IEM mix then slight tweaks through the set as necessary?
  6. He said something in a really old thread a long time ago the notion of which always stuck with me, which was something like "practice your scales and arpeggios. Whe you're done, do it again." He was right. I hope he and his Larivee are well wherever he is
  7. That's awesome! That's my favorite burst finish!
  8. It's really strange how guickly I can fall out with a guitar or pedal. The instrument is both rewarding and tormenting!
  9. Wow that's sad to hear. Hope is the production crews fault and not the band losing it.
  10. This one is a CE. I'd say the neck is very thin and flat. It's probably the most shredder neck I've ever owned on a guitar. I'm with you, I've always loved the look of them esp the blue ones. I am very very impressed with how this axe sounds too, but gotta get it into a rehearsal for a good barometer. I've been rocking my gretches almost exclusively for the last year but both of them have weird technical **** going on with them and I was having bad GAS symptoms lol
  11. Concur. I'm super partial to blue and white guitars.
  12. I may have a problem. This showed up yesterday
  13. It's been a hot few years since I've seen them so your fear could be real but I'd still be all about going. If Pete's still kicking its gonna be worth it. For a long time they had Ringos kid on drums, they may still.... he slays. Plays it Moon style for sure
  14. I won't be putting any money on it either way but I think you're right, there's more down to go in housing market.
  15. Have you seen what's left of the Who live before? Pete is so freaking awesome man, face melting all the time. It's one of those situations where you really haven't heard Townsend until you've seen them live. I think I've seen the 5 times or so and it's incredible every time. One time I saw them was like 2 weeks after entwhistle died.
  16. Well they said Twitter was biased against conservatives.... which of course means the exact opposite is true.
  17. Did they borrow planes from America?
  18. Back in the early 90s I went to one in Oshkosh Wisconsin and it was unreal. Saw the Harrier, SR-71, Stealth.... so many different jets. Insane!
  19. Apparently crashes happened somewhat often at airshow, I was surprised to hear that. That airshow out of Willow Run is so awesome. We went and hung out in a parking lot last year for a few hours for the blue angels and it was such a great experience. We decided then we were going to try to officially attend in upcoming years but did not this year because wife was out of town. I hope this doesn't impact whether the show goes on but if this is relatively common it may be prudent.
  20. I always assume most of these Republicans we've lost would be fighting for Trump brand kneepads and space in front of him like almost all of them do, but there have been some pretty surprising and notable examples of the exact opposite happening (George Will & Bill Kristol immediately come to mind). It's surprising some of the people who you think of from back in the day that support Trump. We had a poster here many years ago who used to really appreciate Victor Davis Hanson and while I didn't know tons about him I would have thought he wouldn't be a Trumper but he's all in. Same with this prior poster here.
  21. Lol @ Ohio. If you're not first you're last!
