  1. Good point so the choice is now: Pursue Haley voters by insulting other voters you need or Pursue Haley voters by not insulting other voters you need So yeah I still think your choice is a poor one
  2. The choice is between insulting the voters you need and not insulting the voters you need. I think your choice is a poor one.
  3. Again, if you think insulting the people who's vote you need & want is a good idea, have at it. I think it's hilarious and also not very smart.
  4. which makes it super weird that you'd help the republicans but here we are
  5. If I were a political strategist for the republicans I'd pat you guys on the back and thank you for the help. Insulting the people who's vote you need & want is a tried and true strategy for victory. Keep up the good work.
  6. that's messed up
  7. Justin Amash joining the race
  8. Mitch owns the worst fiscal policy passed in the 21st century which is the sequestration crap
  9. Mitch doesn't want to shut it down right now but he has been part of it in the past. How could it be worse? I think it's very realistic that they refuse to vote on any Democratic president's judicial nominees - at any level.
  10. I think there will be 2 factions and the top candidates for each faction will be as follows: Crappy faction: John Thune or John Barasso Even Crappier faction: Cancun Cruz or Mike Lee
  11. A lot of withdrawals and not many deposits into the friendship account. SAD!
  12. That's not my theory, I don't think any of that is prima facie good but I could see some good around getting rid of the filibuster but that's not a single edged sword. The theory you raised about them being so ****ty they get voted out was first proposed in this forum way back in the day by Couga (aka Mellencamp) around 2016 or 2017. I don't see it in the media or here very much but I distinctly remember him saying that and thinking.... "that's interesting.... we'll see!" and given how crappy MAGA does in elections he may have been correct. I don't know that the Senate will be so susceptible though given it's extremely undemocratic nature and 6 year terms. I think the only reason the Senate is so close is b/c the GOP can't help but run crappy maga candidates.
  13. I agree with 95% of that but what I will disagree with is that Cocaine was super frickin good at his job, whereas incompetence and self-sabotage is a defining feature of MAGA. So I'd anticipate a bit more fail on much crappier goals. That said, I think the following would happen in the senate under Maga leadership: 1) They would never ever ever bring a Democratic president's judicial nominees forward. 2) They may block other cabinet appointments just because 3) They will nuke the filibuster if that's the only thing between them and something like a national abortion ban.
  14. Super excited for a GOP Senate leader fight.
  15. You should apologize for that apology as well
  16. SCOTUS to hear "presidential immunity" case. Ridiculous.
  17. Even more reason to apologize if we're being honest
  18. Idk if and why he hasn't done the same for Ukraine. The Newshour is legit af so you should apologize
  19. Biden bypassed congress twice. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/the-biden-administration-once-again-bypasses-congress-on-an-emergency-weapons-sale-to-israel#:~:text=WASHINGTON (AP) — For the,Gaza under increasing international criticism.
  20. there were 3 checkboxes on my slip, Democrat Ballot, Republican Ballot, and a third one with a longer description. The guy in front of me marked that third one and they said that one wasn't actually a possibility.
  21. Measles outbreak. 2024.
  22. I genuinely don't think a lot of people here know they can do early in person voting yet I'm also banking on it being a super fast effort to vote tomorrow whihc makes it less pressing to go early
  23. lol @ Klanpain
  24. Any Michiganders or Michiganians take advantage of new in person early voting now available to us? I think this will become my preferred method esp when the GOP controls stuff. However I didn't go this year to see so I'll be regular in person tomorrow. I dont trust Republicans with my mail in absentee ballot.
  25. Great post man, I agree! Ann Arbor's library is awesome too. I've gotten dozens of guitar effects pedals from there, as well as 4 synthesizers. They also have full size skeleton you can get, he's kinda famous around town. Those are just the things I'm interested in from there, all kinds of stuff available!
