I think it's real but would be way less if the GOP stopped falsely advertising open borders for the cartels.

In the literal sense they're not open. Even the GOP tweets out the number of border apprehensions and narcotics confiscations which are both antithetical existence proof to the notion that borders are not open.

I think one of the biggest issues in immigration is politicians proclaiming falsely that the border is open. These politicians have voluntarily become the cartel marketing department and have obviously impacted the flow of migration toward the US.

Trump didn't enact tariffs for the reasons you typically would hear for enacting them. 84 is right, Trump is an idiot. He did it because he's under the misguided perception that having a trade deficit means you're losing so he was solely trying to change the trade deficit numbers

I did feel like a lot of it was the senators trying to shame or embarrass the companies into supporting their bills. I guess where I kinda lose it is..... yall are the senate, pass the **** if you want. personally I don't understand why these people who are obviously not supportive matter. One of them even said if it was law they'll comply.

Fair statements on ol' Lindsey, I'm definitely no defender. He was good in this hearing thought. I don't think I've heard any mention of Elon Musk at all yet but I have been multitasking.

Personally I'm really looking forward to Jack Poso's Ted Nugent Eras (Errors?) tour. My 2 favorite eras for uncle ted are crapping his pants to avoid vietnam and also drinking his own urine in preparation for Y2k all that said Fred Bear is actually a pretty good tune

I learned a lot about Thomas Jefferson by listening to a free series on Audible "Greatest Courses" or something like that about the Greatest Presidents and it was by Alan Lichtman https://www.thegreatcourses.com/courses/great-presidents IDK it Audible still has it free but I think Oblong would love that series, it was really great

Statues aren't supposed to teach history. They're supposed to display reverence to a figure or object that may not even be historical. If the figure or object is no longer revered there's no need to continue revering it

if we're looking to literal statues for history education we got bigger issues my daughter has been learning history from books and teachers and they seem to have a lot more awareness than statues
