In some ways, electorally, the conservative media environment is a gift to Democrats. Republicans are so consumed by their own media and righteousness they repeatedly fault the voter rather than themselves for their electoral losses. Because of this, they just do the same thing over and over and over which is move to the right. Combined that with the gerrymandering and grifting.....

There are parents that do, but many do not. They either don't know that their kid is doing it (same problem as with parents protecting children from content), they don't care that their kid is doing it (or have learned helplessness), or they want their kid to do it. But those well meaning parents are also struggling against a troll/bully culture that is strongly fostered and encouraged by social media

As was mentioned earlier it's the pervasiveness that is different now. When we were kids, if you got bullied at school you went home and didn't get bullied anymore until the next day. Now, you go home, and it continues online. Perhaps even worse than in person. If a parent thinks "keep them off social media" protects their child, it doesn't - the bullying doesn't stop just b/c the victim doesn't see it b/c they're not allowed on the website. That decision could be unilateral disarming which has a whole host of other implications.

Couldn't agree more, especially regarding the children. It's those lil ****bird kids that deserve it the most. No, congress can't change the minimum age. There's no constitutional mechanism for congress changing the min age to be president, the constitution would need to be amended. The 14th Amendment Section 3 though does explicitly say that congress can remove the sanctions that preclude one from being in office b/c they engaged in insurrection. So if they bounce him from the ballot congress (theoretically) could remove that sanction after the ballot was printed/election happened without him on the ballot, so he winds up jammed in that scenario.
