  1. It also feels like to me if you want to elect more dems, trash the buster, and expand the court, you better have more progressively-oriented folks getting elected b/c centrists clearly seem to be the ones more interested in preserving the filibuster but instead the strategy is to trash progressives and blame them apparently
  2. I remember when the Dems had 60 in the senate and still couldn't do stuff. Why am I to assume they're different now? It's basically all the same people still lol
  3. You are assuming they'll do that if they get the votes and I think that's at best uncertain there has been a lot of reporting that Manchin and Sinema aren't the only ones against getting rid of the filibuster, they're just taking all of the heat for it.
  4. I don't think the codification of Roe bill ever had a chance in the Senate no matter what but there were other varieties that could have been passed from the house that may have been slightly more palatable to people who would have still voted no.
  5. The Democrats could trash the filibuster and expand the court. But they don't.
  6. When I blamed a list of approximately 12 republicans and conservative organizations & groups, people attacked me and said I missed the point and it was the Sanders Left. Weird. ETA: it was 8 items. not 12.
  7. It is hilarious watching folks on this board try to trash me as someone who's just going to attack Democratic voters when: a) They're trashing me so in fact THEY are trashing a Democratic voter (irony), and b) my entrance into this was a post with approximately 12 items blaming REPUBLICANS and CONSERATIVES for this in the context of saying I'd blame all of them before I blamed the Sanders Left (who people here say are Democratic Voters). To which I recieved replies blaming the Sanders left. Clean your own damn houses before you worry about mine. Don't attack Democratic Voters if you don't want Democratic voters attacked Don't attack a Democratic voter for blaming REPUBLICAN actions on REPUBLICANS. Utterly hilarious. And ridiculously hypocritical. No wonder we keep losing - you'd rather attack the left than the GOP and responses to my post demonstrate it clearly.
  8. my point was serious
  9. I was told yesterday that the Sanders left has responsibility for what has happened b/c the Right consistently told us what they were going to do.
  10. Nope not missing the point You literally quoted a post about not voting for them and acted like I said not voting and then you act like I missed the point? Pretty rich there. You're literally missing it. Looks like instead of changing people's posts now you're going to just pretend they said something they didn't. Feel free to address my post rather than your fantasy of my post Your point seems to be that you get to say who I should vote for. My point is blow it out your ass I'll vote for who I want. Of course my point is right b/c it's my vote, NOT YOURS.
  11. fyi you owe them your vote and if you don't it's all your fault
  12. no I wasn't
  13. This is probably where I should post about the edenville and sanford dams. FYI, it's the local taxpayers apparently footing the bill for the rebuild. Because it was their fault and haven't sacrificed enough. I don't know how there isn't federal money for this.
  14. I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE'S GAMBLING IN THIS CASINO!!!
  15. This argument always seems like it comes off as Democrats being entitled to Bernie votes. I'm not sure why that implicit assumption exists. I'm far to the left of the Democrats, and I'm a former Nader 2000 voter. It didn't matter in Michigan in 2000 that I voted for Nader, but I learned from that election and have been an anti-Republican voter ever since, which means I vote for Democrats. However, this is a choice I've made and at no point should anyone feel that because I'm on the left I *should* vote for Democrats. If people choose different than me so be it. That they chose to do so doesn't relieve those who actually worked to overturn this of the blame for their work to overturn this merely because they said they were going to do it. I don't understand why the argument assumes two things: Democrats entitlement to the left vote, and no culpability to the perps merely because they said beforehand they were gonna perp.
  16. Reasonable minds can differ. I think a murderer should be responsible for their murders even if he said he was going to murder beforehand.
  17. There are a lot of people I'd blame before the Sanders left for this. 1) The Justices who voted to overturn 2) Trump 3) Trump Voters 4) Federalist Society 5) Senators who confirmed these justices 6) Republicans 7) GW Bush 8 ) G HW Bush Blaming the Sanders left is letting all of these folks off the hook.
  18. It's going to be a rough 40 years folks. It's like when Scar was the king.
  19. NPR just told me RvW has been overturned, just announced.
  20. Not a great look for Zelenskyy but this is no time for unqualified cronyism
  21. they might even be laced with something
  22. I'd be really interesting to see how much money has been lost on ape NFTs and similar. I don't even know how to evaluate that stuff and don't care to learn but those things have got to be near worthless now if it were my opinion
  23. The ironic thing is that's an alleged benefit of blockchain, it's single source of truth ledger is supposedly supposed to make audits & compliance easier! I'm definitely having fun staying poor on the currencification (my new word) of blockchain, which might explain why I'm asking this question, but if you have a single source ledger of truth as the basis of the entire technology, how the hell do people's apes get stolen?
