  1. 4 quarters, 60 minutes away from a ****ing Super Bowl. Still hard to truly grasp.
  2. The guy that owns Woodward Sports is the douchebag who owns Lady Janes Haircuts for Men too.
  3. Does he even have $83 million liquid to be able to pay up?
  4. It would have been real nice if Hakkan had told Stevie about Jesper Bratt. Just when you think you can't get late round Eruo studs anymore New Jersey goes and finds themselves one in the 6th round.
  5. I know it is probably my nerves and anxiety making me feel this way, intermixed with the fact this is uncharted territory, but I have a similar fear. Somehow after the incredible season we have had we will be deemed inadequate among fans in the NFL and we won't be as ready for primetime as I thought we were. I'm naturally a bit like this in my own life, so I feel it translating at least in some small part over to this game. The analysis and analytics tell me we should most definitely have a chance to win it and be at very least competitive in this game.
  6. I hate to ask this question, but I am going to ask it. If they get absolutely run off the field like they did in the Baltimore game how would you feel?
  7. I don't understand how Luke Fickell sucks. If we are sitting after 2-3 seasons of him at Wisconsin and he's still 7-6 or 8-5 then you can say he sucks or is below Michigan's standards. But I still believe given his success at a nobody school in the scheme of college football like Cincinnati and his midwest, specifically Ohio, recruiting ties, Fickell would be a good hire. I bet you wouldn't have wanted Fickell to get the MSU job a few years back over Tucker because that program would likely be in a lot better shape than it is now and a lot tougher for us.
  8. The opening couple of lines of 10x10 smack you right in the face and the rest of the song keeps you feeling. Pony Bradshaw is one of many great lyricists out there in the alt-country space today. Hiding from that suicide Painting houses, getting by I read that book just like they said Tried my best to raise the dead There's cracks in the walls in every room Sweating and bleeding just like a wound Just like a wound
  9. Was the One Detroit building (that's next to the Book Tower) not built yet when the movie came out? For some reason I thought it was an older building and I guess it was built in the early 90s.
  10. I think they line up Arik Armstead on the left side. But I would imagine they will rotate guys on the front to get the matchup they want.
  11. I know McCaffery is the best RB in the NFL and is truly a special player. But if we can hold him under 100 and keep him out of the end zone that's going to force Purdy to have to beat us. I think we can win that type of game. Maybe none of that happens and we get routed because we are outmatched by a superior 49'ers team. That could be the case. However, I really do like to think we have a chance in this one,
  12. Will Moore wear a headset or will he be doing this Brady Hoke style?
  13. I spent 2.5 seasons trying to run Harbaugh out of town. Now I feel bummed he's leaving and not sticking around. I worry we may have just got Pete Carroll'ed and that he's leaving town because he knows the NCAA is going to swing the hammer for covid-era recruiting violations and for the spuygate situation. Thanks for the Natty though Jim, that was worth it.
  14. I don't believe the league outright fixes games to have a predetermined winner or preferential winner. I also don't generally believe they care who wins the games, though on a rare occasion they may. I do believe the league works over the Lions not on an intentional basis, out of malice. Rather they do it because we historically haven't stood up for ourselves on the field or behind the scenes it would seem. Think back to the picked up flag in Dallas or the batted ball in Seattle. If those incidents happened to a Dan Campbell coached team he'd be red in the face, screaming in the refs ear, and blowing them up for the remainder of the game. Jim Caldwell just stood their stone silent and took it, no questions asked. I also feel that Sheila and Rod, unlike her father, mother, or Tom Lewand, would be raising hell behind the scenes and privately demanding answers from the league. So because we never used to stand up for ourselves as an organization, the league and its officials just didn't take us seriously. If the league did prefer the 49'ers over us I would have to guess it would boil down to money. The 49'ers are in a much bigger metro market and rank in the top 5 in merchandise sales. They are also top 10 in revenue for the league and we are the dead last franchise in revenue. They are a top 5 franchise in overall value and we are at the bottom. Our fans also spend middle of the pack on merchandise and some of the least on concessions at a game. We're blue collar and some white collar fans, with not nearly the amount discretionary spending that the average 49'ers fan would have to spend on merchandise, tickets, concessions, etc.
  15. Trump's performance with independent voters looks abysmal. When you consider also that a sizable percentage of Haley supporters won't vote for Trump in a general that isn't good news for him politically.
  16. I'm less worried about McCaffrey because our run defense is our strength. We get killed on big plays by teams top receivers and we get beat more than we should it feels like on 3rd and long type situations. I'm not saying we'll hold him to 50 yards or less and completely take him out of the game. Though that would be nice. Holding him under 100 total yards rushing and receiving combined, and keeping him out of the end zone, would be a huge success in my eyes and won that could lead to a Lions win.
