  1. Do you think Goff demands out or refuses to sign an extension if offered.
  2. I'd like to see us pick Cedric Tillman.
  3. Looks like we traded back again.
  4. Two years after taking Penny in the 1st I believe.
  5. Ugh . . . I guess I didn't realize how bad of a RAS score Branch has.
  6. Lots of players I still like here. I'd be happy with several of these players sans Hendon Hooker.
  7. Really like the Brian Branch pick. We have completely transformed the secondary for the better this offseason.
  8. I am not going to go crazy over the LaPorta pick. I think he's a nice player, just not where they picked him. I'll give Holmes the benefit though on this one.
  9. Even the smartest of them make mistakes though when reaching. Andy Reid took Clyde Edwards-Hilaire in the 1st round and Isiah Pacheco in the 7th. Whose the better RB there. I trust Holmes and will in the end give him the benefit of the doubt. It's just that with a dynamic Edge Rusher like Tyree Wilson still on the board, I wouldn't have gone Gibbs there, as I feel solid RBs and difference makers can be found all over the draft.
  10. I'm not a scout or football expert. I'm just a fan with an armature opinion. Had they taken a Edge Rusher, DT, or CB yesterday I'd say go ahead and take whichever TE you want today. But since they already used one luxury pick on a low positional value offensive player, I don't know how I feel about them taking a TE tonight. With Joey Porter Jr., Keeanu Benton, Siaki Ika, Keion White, and Keele Ringo still on the board, I think they should take one or more of those players before taking a TE. CB is especially a concern for me given how many guys they have on 1 year deals there, sans Sutton. If they do take a TE, I don't want it to be Michael Mayer and would prefer one of Musgrave, LaPorta, or Washington. I'd say Washington is my first choice. If they still had their 3rd round pick I'd suggest someone like Tucker Kraft in the 3rd.
  11. Boy can I not read. I read Hopkins to the Titans and then spaced out. Carry on.
  12. Not sure how accurate this is as this isn't coming from Florio himself and I didn't see it on Pro Football Talk on Twitter.
  13. Probably Michael Mayer just to take one last parting shot at me and my week. I'd like to see a DT taken at 34 like Keeanu Benton or Siaki Ika. I wouldn't be against the CB Kelee Ringo either.
  14. I read several scouting reports, which I shared last night, where they said his ability in man coverage was a weakness. I like Campbell though and wanted him in the 2nd, so I'm not that upset that they picked him.
  15. I think this is true and I said as much going into the draft. It just stings when Super Bowl winning GM Howie Roseman does it. If the Raiders did it you'd laugh and think the guy was going to be a bust. But because Howie Roseman and the Eagles did it, that makes you gulp a little.
  16. What's wrong with saying he needs to be an Alvin Kamara like player with Karma like stats?
  17. How many touches, receptions, yards, and TDs does Gibbs need to have per season to justify this pick over Carter and Wilson? I'm going to say a minimum 8-10 touches per game with 600-700 yards rushing. Then another 60-70 receptions with 600-700 yards receiving. I'd say his scoring totals need to be between 12-14 TDs. Those aforementioned stats are similar to what Alvin Kamra puts up each year. In other words, for this pick to have been worth it, both Carter and Wilson have to be busts or subpar players and Gibbs has to produce Alvin Kamara like stats. He can't just be another "nice player", he's got to be top-tier.
  18. That's not the comparison I'm most interested in. Jalen Carter/Tyree Wilson vs. Gibbs and Tyjae Shape and other RBs they could have had later on vs. Gibbs are the comparisons I'm more interested in.
  19. If David Montgomery is the starter and will get a majority of the snaps, did they just draft a pass catching a RB who will be off the field on obvious running situations? Realistically speaking, how many touches can we expect Gibbs to get per game? 8-10-12?
  20. Is Gibbs that much better than other pass catching backs like Tyjae Spears? Did we just pull a Clyde Edwards-Helaire when we could have just waited and got Isaiah Pacheco later on in the draft? RBs drafted later than Gibbs, as well as guys they could have drafted like Jalen Carter/Tyree Wilson/Christian Gonzalez are who I'm going to compare him to, not Bijan Robinson.
  21. Damn are the Eagles going to be tough to beat. Even after losing guys like Hargrave in the off-season, this great draft makes up for it if Jalen Carter is a stud.
  22. For tomorrow I want Joey Porter at #34, Siaki Ika at #48, and Cedric Tillman at #55 assuming we stay at each pick.
  23. Do you at all fear that Holmes ignoring positional value is him trying to be a little bit of the smartest guy in the room with his draft strategy?
  24. Right, but the point with RB specifically, like the TE position, is top backs can be taken all over the draft. Again, I don't hate the player at all. I like Gibbs and wanted him at a later point in the draft. I just didn't want him over Tyree Wilson, Nolan Smith, Myles Murphy, Calijah Kancey, Christian Gonzalez or a defensive player on a team that had a league-worst defense last year. Again though, if he ends up being Alvin Kamara then great and it will all have been worth it for us. Clearly, they only had a certain amount of guys with first round grades and Gibbs was one of them.
