  1. Damn, Bears get Brisker.
  2. We haven't taken a DT yet.
  3. The same thing Malik Willis did apparently.
  4. So who player LB for this team that's any good? Outside or inside? I know they'll run a lot of 2 LB sets, so they don't place a premium on the position, but unless Derrick Barnes or Julian Okwara take a step forward, we're going to be horrendous at this position and still won't be able to cover the middle of the field.
  5. That's what I am wondering. We've got the Okwara brothers, Hutch, Charles Harris, and now Paschel. I don't know who is going to play where. This guy is only 6'2 with shorter arms too.
  6. Our 2nd picks are always a miss, so tradition continues. I hope not.
  7. I don't know a thing about this guy so I really have no pinion on him as a player. I wanted Dean or Willis here to be honest. Oh well, in Holmes I trust.
  8. So we double down on DTs last year and double down on DEs this year.
  9. You had to think Mike McDonald was lobbying hard for Ojabo. That seems like a Ravens-like pick.
  10. Damn, I liked Wan'Dale Robinson quite a bit. This guy is a YAC monster. Good pick by the Giants.
  11. Yes or no, do you take Willis?
  12. I don't know what I think anymore. I think Nakobe Dean is the guy I want to fall to us here. I think there is a reason all these teams are passing on Willis and that's because he doesn't go through progressions and can't read what the defense is throwing in front of him. So I guess when I see "good" franchises like Seattle passing on Willis, I have growing reservations.
  13. Look, I don't know diddly about what makes a good QB, but I've seen seemingly far worse QBs over the last decade or so get drafted higher than Willis. Trevor Simian, Tim Tebow, Johnny Manziel, Jordan Love, EJ Manuel, Paxton Lynch. I guess NFL front offices really see Willis as a subpar/bad QB prospect.
  14. WOW!!!!!! Did Malik Willis commit a Maurice Clarett?
  15. What is the Vikings draft strategy, to make everyone in the NFC North better than them?
  16. Please let this be any positions other than Receiver for Green Bay. Pleeeeeeeeeease!!!
  17. We don't have the capital necessary for the licensing fee from the NFL and the league probably wouldn't license it anyways, but a buddy of mine and I have had the idea of opening up an SOL Lions Hall of Shame Museum for years. We mapped out the exhibits and how it would be laid out. You go through the decades, starting with the Bobby Layne trade and you get to see displays, video footage, and artifacts from the greatest SOL moments. In the giftshop you could by t-shirts, paperbags, and autographed photos from the likes of Eric Hipple, Scott Mitchell, Wayne Fontes, Marty Mornhinweg Germaine Crowell. I don't know how it would work once the novelty wore off, but I'm sure the opening season who do great ticket sales.
  18. I was thinking about this too. I know the Motor City and Motown are the themes they will lean on but I think it would be fun to have some self deprecating humor and showcase just how pathetic this franchise has been. They have can have blown up banners of the best SOL moments like Monte Clark praying the kick will go in against the 49'ers, Sterling Sharpe left wide open in the end zone, Germaine Crowell cutting to stay in bounds, Marty taking the wind, Schwartz throwing the challenge flag, Calvin and the process of the catch, the Aaron Rodgers Hail Mary, the 10 second runoff against Atlanta, the batted ball against Seattle, the Silverdome not imploding properly. I think a little self deprecating humor would be fun. They can call it Not the Same Old Draft.
  19. Agreed, we are contending for anything next year, so we don't need to risk another injury with Williams. I'd give the kid as much time as medically needed to fully recoup and heal. If it means he misses the first 4-5-8 games or more of the season, I am ok with that.
  20. I don't think I would double down on Edge/DE or WR at this point. My new wishlist for tonight is 1. Malik Willis/QB 2. Nakobe Dean/LB 3. Jaquan Brisker/S 4. Chad Muma/LB 5. Leo Chanal/LB 6. Christian Harris/LB 7. Kenneth Walker III/RB 8. Breece Hall/RB
  21. Will Williams even be ready for the first 6-8 games of the season? If not, Chark will have all the time in the world there to showcase himself.
  22. Jerry Jones reveals Cowboys draft board during press conference . . .
  23. It was reported on Pat Mcafee's show that the Lions made an offer for Deboo Samuel last night. No word on what the Lions offered.
  24. I'm done flipping out over what the Lions do on draft day/week and letting it ruin my experience. I flipped out when Millen took Charles Rogers, Joey Harrington, Stockar McDougall, and Jordan Dizon. I flipped out when Mayhew took Pettigrew, Titus Young, Ryan Broyles, Mikel LeShoure, and Eric Ebron. I flipped out when Quinn took Tevai and was somewhat upset passing on a QB for Okudah. I want to enjoy a draft for once and given my level of confidence in Holmes, I won't flip out if a non-Willis QB is taken at #46. That said, I will be disappointed and think it is the wrong pick. I think Willis is the only QB with a high enough upside to break the rule of not taking a QB outside of the first round. If they traded up from 46 to get Willis it all depends on what they gave up to get him. I think giving up their remaining 3rd or a future 3rd is probably too much. Certainly giving up next years 2nd would be too high a price to pay. So I would have to wait and see what they gave up to get him.
