This team clearly appears to be on the upswing over the last several weeks, even with some ugly wins. I don't expect them to win today, but they play hard and should be competitive and in this throughout.
If you traded Justin Fields for Lamar Jackson straight up do you think Fields could be as good as Lamar is on the Ravens? Isn't Lamar just a RB playing QB? Could Fields find the success Lamar has if he was on a well coached team with a good offensive line and a legit weapon or two around him?
If you like real, traditional, honkyhonk-style country music like a Buck Owens or George Jones you'll love Charley Crockett. He put on a killer show at the Majestic tonight!
A great presentation from former Bill Clinton/Barack Obama polling and data guy Simon Rosenberg on why things are better with Dems in office and how Dems can do a better job messaging in the future to win more.
Fox Sports Australia: Match fixing, bribery claim rocks opening World Cup game between Qatar and Ecuador
What a disgrace this entire thing has been. I refuse to watch the World Cup this year.
That's where I am at with him. He never had more than two tackles in any game prior to this and look average against the run. He had a solid game and I hope this is one of many to come. It would allow us to address other needs on defense if McNeill is a real interior presence on this line.
50 degrees and 53% chance of rain is what I see now. If it turns into a wet, rainy, sloppy game, I would presume that favors our style of play offensively.
Ohio struggled almost as much against Maryland in the first half and 4th quarter as we did against Illinois. They sort of pulled away in the 3rd quarter, but let Maryland back in a little in the 4th. So I'm not as worried about the performance against Illinois as maybe I should be given how Ohio looked against Maryland.
I really think if Corum and Edwards are healthy that we can play bully ball and run right at them. Their run defense didn't look good against Indiana and Northwestern. If the run game is working early I expect that to be a big problem for them as it was last year.
I was PLEASANTLY surprised at how well they did containing Barkley. I really thought we were in for a 100+ yard, multi TD game from him and our Dline stood up to the test and shut him out.
For anyone doubting Hutch and having hoped for one of Walker or Thibs, he certainly looks the best of the 3 rookies. Hutch has been coming on strong the past month and is proving why we took him #2 overall.
Yeah, instead the Fox punt sails into the end zone and they start with better field position. Lions D keeping it contaiend so far on this drive though.
