  1. The league is heavily an offensive league, so good to see The Bears screw it up and go in the opposite direction, when they have a young franchise QB to develop in Justin Fields, and hire a defensive guy. A guy whose defense gave up 20+ points to Jacksonville to close the season out and miss the playoffs no less.
  2. If Rodgers just holds out and tells them he isn't showing up for work doesn't that give him some amount of leverage?
  3. Mask mandates are like the Holocaust. They very same Holocaust that the right is now banning books about. So mask mandates are like the thing we want to ban books about. Cancel Culture strikes again.
  4. Next on To Catch a Predator . . .
  5. I think the Steelers need to rebuild and tare it down. He would be going into a worse situation offensively if he went to Pittsburgh. The Steelers have an atrocious offense and have even less weapons than Rodgers has in Green Bay with no Aaron Jones at RB and no Davante Adams at WR and a worse O-Line. If they trade for Rodgers they will be giving up massive draft capital and thus won't be able to add the weapons needed around Rodgers to win. I think the best spot for Rodgers is Denver. They have a good defense and ready made offensive weapons with Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon at RB and Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and Noah Fant as receiving threats. They can plug and play with Rodgers there and win now. QB has been the only thing really holding them back.
  6. Luke Fickell lol. Even though I am backing off the fire Harbaugh bandwagon for now, Fickell would still be the first guy the university should call. If he says no and you can't change his mind, so be it, but it would be a mistake not to call him. Other names the university should reach out to include the obvious ones like Matt Campbell and Matt Rhule. I'd also send feelers out to Sean Payton and see if he's interested in coaching college ball.
  7. Maybe all that Coke Clearance Thomas has been drinking over years catches up with him. I don't wish ill will on Thomas at all, it's just that he's the oldest Justice on the court now that Breyer is retiring.
  8. We have 50 votes with Harris as the tie breaker so we control the Senate. Mitch has no way to stonewall this.
  9. I always thought he looked like Barry Gibb.
  10. Thank fucking god! It would be a cold, sad day in hell if he didn't retire and McConnell got yet another Supreme Court appointment.
  11. I'm all about signing Marcus Williams. We need a talent all around in the secondary and we need a Safety in the worst way to move Harris to the bench. Williams has familiarity playing under Aaron Glenn and if he is available you'd have to think Glenn would be pushing Holmes to sign him.
  12. We have a 1st Amendment that protects free speech of all people and that's great. But as a matter of good taste and judgement, anyone who supports Trump shouldn't be commenting on or being critical of someone else's decorum and professionalism in the White House unless they are willing to acknowledge and renounce the last 5 years of what we all went through. Acknowledge and renounce mocking disabled NYT reporter Serve Kovaleski, the Megyn Kelly blood coming out of her vagina comments, Cecila Vega you never think comment, all the fake news media comments, all the comments calling the media terrible people.
  13. Someone's going to make the call to Payton about being the OC or lining him up to be their coach in the future. No reason Brad and Sheila can't pick up the phone or work any mutual connections they have with Sean.
  14. It has to be asked, so I'm just going to ask it. Would you fire Dan Campbell if you had the opportunity to bring Sean Payton in as the Head Coach?
  15. Or could have said "she never thinks before asking a question" like he did to ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega. But yeah, Donald Trump saying that Megyn Kelly was so angry she was bleeding out of her eyes and her vaginal area is a pretty despicable thing to say to a woman.
  16. When he approaches 1/100th of the derogatory remarks Trump made towards the press then we can start talking. When he talks about changing libel laws, suing the press, and jailing members of the press, we can start talking. When he mocks a reporter with a disability we can start talking. Until then, take your false equivalences, pack them neatly in your satchel, and head on down the road.
  17. BTW, unlike Trump, Biden actually personally called Peter Doocy and apologized to him for the remark. An apology is something not in Trump's lexicon.
  18. While I love the potential of what Willis could become, I am terrified of what he will actually be. Sure, he could be our Josh Allen or Deshaun Watson. He could be that mobile QB with a big arm, who can make all the throws, and extend plays with his mobility. But if history is any judge, given the number of QBs who have the raw talent and don't ever turn it into anything great, it's more likely he'll be a bust. He'll become our Daunte Culpepper at best and Tavaris Jackson, Jason Campbell or Andre Ware at worst. Every scouting report I read and every highlight video I watch showcases the two major problems in Willis' game, accuracy issues and decision making. Looking at this stats, his QBR and completion % went down from his 3rd to 4th year. He had a higher passer rating and completion % than Allen did at Wyoming, but their offenses and situations were different. Again, going back to the Allen comparison, for every Josh Allen who turns it around, there are dozens who never develop into anything special. If I am the Lions and have the chance to draft one of Bryce Young or CJ Stroud next season, I'm passing on a QB this year and that includes Willis, enticing as it may be.
  19. At least former Republican Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox, married to former Republican State Rep and MIGOP Chairwoman Laura Cox, has the gumption to call out the BS in his Republican Party. Good job Republican Mike Cox.
  20. Congratulations to Matt Stafford to proving ever doubter in Detroit wrong. Me, Jeff Riger, Mike Valenti, Pat Caputo, and every fan and sports media blowhard who said you couldn't get a team over the hump. I always thought Stafford's production in crunch time combined with his salary cap hit would have held a team back from advancing in the playoffs. I was wrong and Matt Stafford got the job done, in exciting fashion to close out the game no less. I wanted the high draft pick to start the playoffs, but now that the Rams are where they are, I hope Stafford gets his chance to play in a Super Bowl for once. Go get em Stafford and win the big game!
  21. Matt Millen called Johnny Morton a fa**ot, that sounds like someone who created a toxic work culture to me.
