  1. Code word, we can't do anything or run government departments because DOGE fired too many people. Oooopppsss!
  2. Well, Underwood tried throwing a pick on his very first throw of the game. Luckily CMU dropped a gifted INT and we ended up scoring on the drive.
  3. I hope the interior of the offensive line isn't permanently broken and a longterm problem for this team. If they don't get their offensive line issues fixed then we're in fire a long season.
  4. Nancy Mace's sliding scale of justice for people . . .
  5. Nancy Mace is a terrible ****ing human being. Here is what she said and retweeted the other day when she thought the shooter was a trans person. She retweeted this Daily Caller post FYI. Now here is Nancy Mace's tweet today after finding out the shooter is straight, white, male, and possibly Christian.
  6. I actually, generally, agree with much of what you said above. I've been one of those negative Lions fans in the past, but have not panicked this week after the loss. I was disappointed by the lack of a run game, the lack of a pass rush, and concerned about how the interior of this offensive line looked. The lion of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, in particular on the interior offensive line, has to look better this week. I'd also like to see the playbook open up more often and I think it will this week. I want different play designs on the run, I want TeSlaa more involved, and I want to stretch the field more. But I don't think the sky is falling on this team . . . yet! The one thing I disagree with is the point about going 0-2. Statistically speaking, our season is over if we go 0-2. Since 1990, there is an 11.3% chance of making the playoffs if you go 0-2 to start a season. I know this team has significantly more talent than most teams in NFL history that have started 0-2. But I would genuinely start to feel bad about this season if we lost to a Bears team that managed to blow it at home, against a rookie QB playing on the road. Starting 0-2 from a statistical perspective is very high hill to climb and obstacle to overcome.
  7. I have no clue if there are multiple Tyler Robinsons in St. George Utah. I have no clue if there is another member of his family named Tyler Robinson. But there was a Tyler Robinson, from St. George, UT who donated over $200 to Trump's Make America Great Again pack in 2020. https://www.fec.gov/data/receipts/individual-contributions/?contributor_name=Tyler+Robinson&contributor_city=st+george EDIT: I am reading from some on reddit and social media that this Tyler Robinson might be a different person from the shooter named Tyler Robinson. If I am wrong in posting this information then I would like to admit so and acknowledge my error. If indeed I am incorrect.
  8. No, sorry. My post was supposed to have quoted Sloth's post saying Raymond + Kasper + multiple firsts for Kaprizov. The quote didn't come through for some reason. I was saying if we're giving up all those assets in a trade then I want McDavid or Draisitl in return. Without the quote carrying over it looks like I was responding to you, but it was intended for Sloth's post.
  9. I want to try the interactive, mock press conference booth. Then I would tell the world to bury me upside down so my critics can kiss my ass.
  10. If you spew racism, bigotry, hatred, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, or antisemitism, but you do it at a college campus or on a YouTube podcast, that's doing it the right way. Forget that spewing all that **** is wrong, if you say it all politely, do it with a smile or do it without a white hood on then you're doing it the right way.
  11. If you're giving up all those assets you better be getting McDavid or Draisaitl back in return. To answer my own question, do I want him? Of course. Would I give up what I think it takes to get him? It depends on wat the Wild are asking. I would guess they'd want a top young player + a pair of prospects + a pick. I don't know that it would have to be both of Raymond and Kasper though.
  12. A real hell hole. Can't even go to college and be safe there. I agree, time for the National Guard to go in. SARCASM!!!!!!!
  13. So the alleged shooter is not transgendered? Not a lesbian? Not a person of color? Not Muslim? Not an immigrant? You mean to tell me that Donald Trump, Nancy Mace, and a bunch of Republicans irresponsibly rushed to make a judgement on this?
  14. Charlie Kirk fundamentally believed (and the right still believes this) that a society that has more guns will be safer. That a good guy with a gun will keep you protected from a bad guy with a gun. That theory was tragically tested in a real life scenario, not in a laboratory or a college research paper, and didn't work out for Charlie Kirk. A bad guy with a gun shot and killed him and no good guy with a gun would have been able to save him. That's because bad guys with guns don't announce what they're going to do. There is no heads up or forewarning that they're going to commit a crime or a violent action. There are solutions that could solve this problem and things that could have saved Charlie Kirk's life. Solutions like background checks and mental health screenings on all individuals purchasing a gun, to ensure that person is capable and qualified to own a gun. Even more than that, we could have done, at any point in time after one of the thousands of mass shootings this country has experienced, a gun buyback program as Australia did. In the wake of Australia's worst mass shooting event ever, the Port Arthur massacre of 1996, the Australian government instituted a gun buyback program to reduce the number of guns in society and prevent future mass shootings. Here in America, we have more guns than people in society. We have an estimated 120.5 guns per every 100 Americans. We have one of the highest gun death rates in the developed world. In 2023 we had 13.7 gun deaths per 100,000 citizens. In Australia the number of gun deaths per person is .103 for every 100,000 persons. Why is that number so low? One reason, among many, is because they simply have less guns in society. Therefore, angry, bad, mentally ill, and/or vengeful people would simply have less access to a gun and less ability to carry out their violent acts. A gun buyback policy, implemented at anytime over the last 30 years in this country could have saved the lives of countless Americans, including our children and Charlie Kirk himself. Gun buyback programs work!
  15. Were these posts were after Melissa Hortman was gunned down in her home or after Heather Heyer was run over by a car?
  16. I'll ask the question here since I ask it most every time a big name becomes available. What would it cost to get a guy like Kaprizov? Do you want him on the Red Wings and would you be willing to pay what you believe it would cost to get him?
  17. Herschel Walker fathered multiple children out of wedlock and then abandon those kids as a deadbeat dad. He was rewarded with a nomination for US Senate by the Republican Party in Georgia.
  18. Is he on his phone in the video? I can't tell and don't want to assume anything, just asking. The right wing had a meltdown over Biden looking at his watch. So I'm asking why he's looking down and moving his fingers in such a way.
  19. Will this mandate also include people who mocked Minnesota State Legislator Melissa Hortman and her husband who were murdered? How about people like Donald Trump Jr. who mocked Paul Pelosi being assaulted by posting pictures of underwear and a hammer on social media?
  20. Or attempts to send pipe bombs to Democratic politicians homes. Or Gabby Giffords being shot in the face.
  21. There has been a school shooting in Colorado as well, in which two students were reportedly shot. This is a monthly occurrence in America sadly. We're almost numb to the frequency of these tragic school shootings. Of course, as is the case after every school shooting, we'll do nothing about it.
  22. I don't like Charlie Kirk, nor his viewpoints on issues. I disagree with him on just about every viewpoint he's taken, including his stated views on gun ownership and gun rights in the wake of mass shootings. All that being said, violence against other human beings is morally repugnant, deeply troubling, and wrong in every way. Political violence and targeting people for their political viewpoints is even worse as it attempts to intimidate and silence people simply for who they are and holding the opinions they do. The rise in political violence and violent acts in this country is deeply disturbing. If we can't do anything else, can we at least come together to denounce violence and political violence against our fellow human beings? I'd sure like to think so. I certainly hope that Charlie Kirk survives this attack, from whatever scumbag of a person did this. I may not agree with anything the man has to say and find a lot of his viewpoints repulsive. However, I certainly condemn the violent act used against him today and hope that he makes a full recovery.
  23. Boy would we all be elated if Danielson ends up higher than Kasper and our top prospect. I've seen all sorts of wild and out there comparisons for Danielson. I remember on draft night, one of the ESPN analysts was comparing him to Nick Suzuki. If he was Nick Suzuki I would be over the moon to have him reach that level production wise. I've also seen people compare Danielson to everything from Bo Horvat to Dylan Larkin. Danielson has never shown the kind of production in juniors or thus far the AHL that Nick Suzuki had. I don't think he ends up as a Suzuki level player, but who really knows. Outside of his one season of 78 points in the WHL with the Wheat Kings, he hasn't quite hit Horvat's level of production either. My concern is that he caps out as being a grittier, more physical JT Compher tye of player. Production wise, I do worry he ends up with Compher like numbers. Good, but not the type of great point producer we want leading the top line into the future. I'd certainly like more than that from Danielson, so I hope his ceiling is higher than Compher's as been.
  24. Can't wait for the "this is what we voted for" crowd to come out, defend this repugnant crap, and tell us this is what we voted for.
  25. I can't fully indict Moore for the failures on Saturday and the overall state of the program is in just yet. Do I have a ton of confidence in his coaching? No. Do I think he's a great X's and O's coach? Not really. Do I think he's a good "leader of men" type of coach? That remains to be seen. Do I think he is a good recruiter? At least somewhat I do. I think he has brought in a couple of solid classes now of new recruits. As Buddha said, he needs to work the transfer portal better. He also needs to prove he can develop players and get their full potential out of them. Something Harbaugh turned out to be very good at after a period of time. I think Moore deserves more time to try and prove he's a better coach than what he's shown from an in-game stand point. I think he deserves more time to show he's got a better system for player development. I'm at least giving him this full season to see what he can do. If it doesn't go off the rails and we can win 8 or 9 games, I'm willing to give him next season too. If it does go off the rails and we're trending into Rich Rod or Harbaugh the Covid year territory, I'm going to pull the plug for someone better. The fact is that Jim Harbaugh skipped town like a bitch and left the program empty and under investigation. While I'm elated at having won the National Championship under Harbaugh's watch, **** him for how he left the program high and dry in the end. He basically pulled a Pete Carroll at USC, knowing that there were violations committed and penalties coming as a result. He skipped town so as not to have to face any of the punishment. He left that for Moore to deal with. I don't know if there is any coach in America that could step into the murky situation Moore did with an empty recruiting class, an NCAA investigation, and pending penalties coming down against the program. I mean, maybe a Nick Saban or Urban Meyer could have done better than Moore has and sooner. But it feels like most coaches asked to take over such a situation would have failed, at least in their first year. As a result of that, I'm willing to give Moore additional time to prove himself. Hell, he beat Ohio State sooner into his tenure than Harbaugh did. Sherrone did it in a year, it took Harbaugh 6 years to do it.
