We are disgusted at the way Trump talks about women, even his own daughter. Yet when Mike Bloomberg talks about his daughter that way, it's no problem for Haley Stevens. Michigan politics sure is interesting.

Stevens endorsed Mike Bloomberg for US President just five years ago because he donated to her campaign. She sold herself out to the highest bidder. Haley Stevens endorsed a Republican Mayor for President of the United States and did so because she wanted to make a quick buck for her campaign and raise funds. Apparently racial slurs and blatant misogynistic behavior didn't bother Stevens at all. I'll vote for Haley if I have to, but she's an unhinged person and a sellout who endorses Republican Mayors for President. The person that Stevens endorsed for President as well helped cost Democrats the Senate in 2016 when he donated millions to Republican Senate campaigns. He propped up Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania and Susan Collins in Maine. He did so at the expense of Katie McGinty in PA. Abdul is my top choice for Senate followed by Mallory. Eli Savit is also the best choice for AG and Aghogho Edevbie for SOS. Karen McDonald damn near blew the Crumbley case by withholding evidence from the defense. That seems like something a prosecutor aught to to better about doing.

The Denver Broncos did in 2015. Two of the top 5 highest paid players on their team were edge rushers, Von Miller and Demarcus Ware. They took up 6.81% and 6.05% of their teams cap space. They also won a Super Bowl by having a dominate front 7 and destroying teams in the trenches. Obviously, player salaries have went up a lot since 2015, but so has the cap. In 2015 dollars Peyton Manning was taking up 12.21% of the Broncos cap space. Goff is taking up a smaller percentage of our cap space in 2025 at 11.68% than Manning did as QB for Denver. So we have a little wiggle room there to bake in an increase that comes from a new contract extension if we were to trade for a guy like Hendrickson. Hendrickson takes up 6.69% of the Bengals cap space, but that number will go up once a new contract is in place. Micah Parsons takes up 8.60% of Dallas cap space. His new deal will likely add to that cap percentage, depending on how it's structured, front-loaded, back-loaded, etc. Let's play with your premise though and say that Hendrickson or Parsons are going to cost you 2-3 of your best players. Would you rather have Hendrickson or Parsons + Hutch for the next 3-4 seasons or Hutch + Branch/Campbell/Laporta?

Holmes will not trade for Parsons. Just as he won't trade for Trey Hendrickson, Myles Garrett, or any name we want him to. The guy Holmes might draft a year or two years from now in the first round is more valuable to him than Micah Parsons. The culture they've built in their locker room is more valuable than allowing one guy to come in and potentially disrupt it. For better or for worse, Holmes likes his players, that he drafted. He values guys that his front office scouted, got to know, and drafted. He also values cap flexibility and not being in salary cap hell because you made a few splashy moves on big name, high priced players. There is no "win now" mode or "eff them picks" mode with Brad Holmes. There is no belief that our window is now and might close later because in Brad's mind, he's building a sustainable team that can win for years to come. Which is surprising considering his boss Les Snead in LA was all about win now and eff them picks. This mantra is a bit of the smartest guy in the room, but if it works, you're the genius. Holmes believes in himself, his scouts, and his plan above all else. It is a slow and steady race to the top and nothing will get him to deviate from that.

What kind of deal would we have been talking about to beat what the Yankees offered up for Bednar? It looks like they gave up their #8 and #15 ranked prospects in their organization. Hao-Yu Lee and Jaden Hamm? Liranzo straight up? Seems like we could have topped the Yankees for sure. Oh well.

No two ways around it, I am bummed about not getting a top-tier reliever like Bednar. Along with many here and many fans, I thought a RP was our biggest need. Yes, we added some ok pieces, but no one that makes me feel comfortable with a game on the line in the playoffs the way Bednar would have. It's insult to injury seeing him go to the Yankees as well.

Or maybe a retool if they lose Clase. You think Kwan nets a pair of Clark/McGonigle level prospects? I don't. Maybe he could net one, but what do I know in the end. I think he's a really nice player, but he's not an elite, top 50 player in the MLB this season. I don't see his production this year as a guy worth two of our top 5 guys that are currently in the MLB top 100. I think Liranzo is the highest I would go on the prospect pecking order to give up to Cleveland. I would package a deal that was something like Liranzo/Anderson/Rodriguez for Kwan or Kwan + a reliver.

I'm not sure Cleveland would trade him here, but I'd be in on getting Kwan. I don't know what the value would be to get him, but it feels like he could be traded for without a top 100 prospect being given up.

Kamala Harris announced today she is not running for Governor in California. I was surprised to see that she wasn't going to run because she would have been a shoe in to win. I hope this puts former Congresswoman Katie Porter in as the frontrunner now.

Do I think there is a definitive client list with names of every time someone visited Epstein Island? Maybe, but I don't feel 100% certain that there is. Did the Trump Administration's Attorney General Pam Bondi definitively state there was a client list that was sitting on her desk to be reviewed? Yes. If there is an Epstein client list, do I think the guy that is alleged to have walked in on underage, teenage girls getting changed at a Miss Teen USA beauty pageant is on that list? 100% I think he would be on the Epstein client list.
