  1. You look like Bonnie ate Clyde . . . LOL!
  2. How many times did Goff throw a pass over 10-15 yards yesterday? Once? Twice, maybe? He averaged 5.8 yards per pass yesterday, so it couldn't have happened that often. The play calling from Morton or whatever Goff opted or audibled into seemed to be almost entirely check down throws, without looking for a receiver downfield at all. There were two throws to St. Brown that extended beyond 10 yards that I remember off hand, but that seemed to be it. I know Green Bay was playing deeper with their secondary, but it didn't feel like Goff/Morton tried moving the ball downfield at all. It felt like the play calling and Goff's decision making was one check down after another.
  3. Week one is waaaay too early to start writing this team off or worrying that we have seriois, structural problems with this team. Even given the past history of this organization, there is still no reason to believe we're in SOL territory. That said, this offense looked like one of the worst in the league today. In particular, the offensive line was dreadful and the playcalling was subpar and unimaginative. If we see a pattern of this type of play continue next week against the Bears then I'll start to worry a bit. If we see this go on into weeks 3, 4, and 5 then we're getting into the debate about whether this team has structural and foundational problems.
  4. I can't recall one target of TeSlaa before that amazing catch he just had. Nothing else was working today, why not work him in sooner?
  5. It went from one our biggest strengthens to a weakness all in one season. Can we get Ragnow out of retirement? Does Kevin Glover have another season in him?
  6. If the interior of our offensive line is this bad we're in a lot of trouble.
  7. They are really missing Ragnow today and it shows on their run blocking for sure.
  8. Pathetic offensive playcalling and no ability to block on the run.
  9. Why did Campbell opt for the FG there? He went for it twice in the first half. Maybe he's feeling desperate for points.
  10. What a disaster of a start for this defense. They are generating no pressure. They give up 2 plays for 67 yards and can't cover anyone.
  11. Christ, another special teams penalty. What an underwhelming start to the game.
  12. Because he's going to be the hero and be the one to take it to the house.
  13. A terrible opening drive on both sides of the ball. It's early, so whatever.
  14. I hope ripping his helmet off was worth it and brought him self satisfaction because it just cost them a touchdown. As long as it was worth it for him personally though.
  15. I think the Lions win a tight game and a dog fight today. I think Lions 27 and Packers 21.
  16. Michigan's secondary looks porous early on. Oklahoma's WR just dropped that pass wide open, all on his own. There wasn't a Michigan defender anywhere near him.
  17. What exactly were you going to use that $9 million in cap space for this season? It's only a one year deal, so the $9 million number is meaningless to me. The best GM in the league saw something of value here, so it disappoints me that Roseman got him. Oh well.
  18. Earlier in this thread I said I believed the Lions would go 11-6 and I am still sticking with that belief. I think they will lose a couple of division games this year unlike last season and lose a few of their tougher road games. I think if this defense is as good as they were last season, pre-injuries, and if this offensive line doesn't take a big step back then they can and will make the Super Bowl. I will predict them to make it to the Super Bowl against the Bills and ultimately lose to Buffalo. Week 1: at Green Bay Packers - Win Week 2. vs. Chicago Bears - Win Week 3. at Baltimore Ravens - Loss Week 4. vs. Cleveland Browns - Win Week 5. at Cincinnati Bengals - Win Week 6. at Kansas City Chiefs - Loss Week 7. vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Win Week 8. vs. Minnesota Vikings - Loss Week 9. BYE Week 10. at Washington Commanders - Loss Week 11. at Philadelphia Eagles - Loss Week 12. vs. New York Giants - Win Week 13. vs. Green Bay Packers - Loss Week 14. vs. Dallas Cowboys - Win Week 15. at Los Angeles Rams - Win Week 16. vs. Pittsburgh Steelers - Win Week 17. at Minnesota Vikings - Win Week 18. at Chicago Bears - Win Final Record: 11-6 (Home: 6-2, Road: 5-4, Division: 4-2) Will they win the division? Yes Division rankings: Detroit 11-6, Green Bay 10-7, Minnesota 8-9, Chicago 8-9 Playoffs: 1st Round: Lions vs. LA Rams - Win 2nd Round: Lions vs. Green Bay Packers - Win NFC Championship Game: Lions vs. Washington Commanders - Win Super Bowl - Lions vs. Bills - Loss Super Bowl Winner: Buffalo Bills
  19. Za'Darius Smith has signed a one year, $9 million deal with The Eagles. I wonder what this organization saw or didn't see in Za'Darius Smith during his time here that caused them to not want to resign him? Clearly Howie Roseman and The Eagles staff saw something of value still left in Smith that our organization didn't. Curious as to what that was.
  20. Your premise is shoot first ask questions later. I think that is a very dangerous precedence to et, whether it is over a trunk full of weed or a boat full of drugs. Furthermore, the military didn't know that Iran Air Flight 655 was a passenger jet. They followed your mantra of shoot first and ask questions later and 290 innocent people died.
  21. I'm just applying your logic of vigilante justice here. So my neighbor, in the home right next to me, sold drugs out of his garage (weed before it was legal in Michigan). Could I have just called the police in the city I live in and had them come in blasting in his garage? Since he was technically a drug dealer and since he was breaking a law, would my local PD have been justified to come in blasting and taken him out? If not, why? Could it be because people have due process rights before we just convict them of a crime? Could it be because we are a nation and a people that believe in innocent, until proven guilty? Could it be because they are still human beings and we don't just play Robocop or vigilante justice with people's lives? Also, do you remember when the United States shot down an Iranian passenger airline jet because they thought, had no proof, simply thought it was a military plane? Well the plane they thought was a Iranian military plane was in-fact a passenger plane carrying, Iran Air Flight 655. On the flight were 290 people. Do those people matter? Do their lives matter? This flight, that our government shot down, is why you can't just make assumptions about what is or isn't on a boat or a plane. It's why you have to verify first before taking people's lives.
