I agree, it's been recent that they stopped hitting. That doesn't exist Harris for not make some kind of significant addition to this lineup. And given how this lineup collapsed down the stretch, that's all the more reason in my mind to try and inject some life into. Maybe McGonigle comes up and struggles worse than a Prince Fielder World Series appearance and it's all for not. But dang, I just want something to hope for lineup wise.

What does this lineup look like against pitchers with a FIP below 3.5-4 and a WHIP below 1.25? It must be dreadful the last 2-3 months. A lineup that feasts on the weak and struggles badly against anyone above average

Maybe not. But my question remains, could McGonigle have really been that much worse than this? I know defensively he likely isn't ready at all, but damn. How can you be worse than this?

Wouldn't want to give up any prospects though. Ugh, I hate being this type of fan tonight. I hate being negative like this. But watching our at bats is not fun. There is nothing enjoyable about watching these approaches at the plate.

Scott Harris has done a nice job drafting. He really has by all the early accounts. But he wants to be rigid and stick to his plan and not bring up Kevin McGonigle. You need to do something, anything, to inject life into one of the worst lineups in the majors for the last two months of the season.

Scott Harris should be ashamed of the lineup he's fielded this latter half of the season. I know he made an aggressive offer to Bregman in the offseason, but the was seemingly it. To not add a big right-handed bat either in the offseason or at the trade deadline was terrible. Harris can think all he wants about this team not being ready on his time line. But your timeline and plan has to be adjusted when you have the best ****ing pitcher in the league. You have to build around that and the lineup he built around Skubal is reminiscent of a Randy Smith lineup circa 1999.

I know Skubal is a professional. I know he's a good team player by all accounts. But how are you not pissed at your teammates, giving them a great outing, with only one run given up, and you might lose a one run game. It would take a lot got me not to be pissed.

Calling it now . . . Something will happen.

I don't see how we recover now. Frustrating how bad this lineup is. When you have a lineup with the likes of a reincarnated Kimera Bartee, Paul Bako, and Brian Hunter, I don't see how we can get a run at this point.

We're ****ed now. Might as well have scored 10 runs there with the way we're hitting.

We've had two innings in a row now of bad at bats. At bats with no hits, no walks, no working the count at all. Ugh!
