As I read the tea leaves, I would not expect much in the way of free agent signings unless the season ticket sales are through the roof by December 31. The 50 million dollar Bally infusion looks to be gone, and it's very unclear what a replacement will provide. The attendence to the Tigers games was 750,000 below the median, which is probably equates to a minimum of 80 million dollars of gross revenue. The net starting point for revenue for the Tigers is roughly 130 million dollars below an median MLB team. With a strong post season performance, I would expect that some of the 130 million would be made up. My guess is that spending will be an RP, a low tier SP, and a reclamation project. If season ticket sales for 2025 boom between now and the end of the year, things might change.

With respect to the TP situation, if you're really hard up, rake your leaves up in your yard or city park, bag them, and use those.

I think managers, usually, are worth roughly 4 to 5 games a year maybe 3 to 4. That's the difference of being on the outside looking in with respect to the playoffs. Hinch has done a magnificent job of having his team motivated to play and prepared as well.

I haven't been this excited about the end of a season since the waning days of the 1967 Tigers season. There were no playoff spots back then You either won the AL or the NL, or you went home. There were five teams in a ten team league that had a shot in the final week of the season, and the Tigers lost their final 2 games and lost out. This season has been more exciting as this season was a total surprise, while the Tigers were expected to be in contention in 1967.

I am tired of that and the endless feel good human interest stories and other sideshow events. Bally can always launch a soap oprea if they wanted. I want a baseball broadcast

In addition to everything else, Kerry Carpenter has had back problems. For outfielder, that can be the beginning of the end. Riley Greene has had a significant injury history already. I would be very reluctant to trade Clark for these reasons alone.

1st rule when offering up a trade on this blog is-- put the bong down. This run is starting to suggest that the Tigers may be very close to having a prolonged run. A reasonable improvement at first and one more bullpen arm would be my take on improvements for this off-season. Clark and McGonigle are not tradeable as they are keys to the future. period.

My following the Tigers goes back to 1961. The 1967 squad has always had a soft spot in my heart because it was so so close, yet so far, losing it on the last day of the season. That team was supposed to be pretty good at the beginning of the season though. This team is unprecedented and is rapidly becoming my all-time favorite Tiger team.
