would Harris need to pay a premium in prospects to get Luis Robert? not sure WS want to see him in division, but Robert would be an impactful move for a RH bat; if healthy, great bargain for the next 3 years - 15, 20, 20 Greene, Meadows, Carpenter vs RH with Robert at DH Greene, Meadows, Robert vs LH WS need everything and if you're going to trade Crochet, no reason to hold onto Robert -
would much rather have guys soar than flail in the AFL, but it was surprising that none of the those guys are stars

well Harris just announced that Javy is on the "whiteboard" as Sweeney's platoon partner, so there's that I guess -
Musk spent over $200,000,000.00 of his own money to get Trump elected. It's going to be a freakshow - all day every day for four years.

i'm not grading Team Harris on their offseason until they actually do something. they have Skubal - the best pitcher in baseball - for 2 more years. huge advantage to be able to pitch him twice in a short series. i think 2024 success has altered Harris preferred timeline -
most likely outcome is the one many people are betting on: Trump will claim he solved any problem totally and strongly, his supporters will agree, and little of substance will actually get done

rancher hopes Trump's tariffs will allow him to get a higher price for his domestic beef also, he wants Trump to rein in inflation

Week Ten: Detroit Lions (7-1) @ Houston Texans (6-3)

Sewell has been beat cleanly at least 3 times; the rest of the OL just stinks in both run and pass protection; Houston's best DE is not even playing; it's a Twilight Zone Game -
Aaron Rogers is a crappy GM and a crappy QB - love it

The Beginning of the End: The Lame Duck Period of Joe Biden’s Presidency

I think it is the reverse. Mitch did not want the black guy's ideas to become law because it would be a disaster Last is suggesting Dems let Trump's ideas become law - because it will be a disaster -

i get what Last is writing, and it could work the American people may very well blame Trump is thing go sideways (but they will never blame themselves) but this is basically the Susan Sarandon argument - put in Trump, not Hillary, and people will be so shocked that Bernie will rise from the ashes and lead us to Nirvana - obviously, that did not happen i guess I am saying that if Trump meltdowns the national or world economy, we don't really know if America will blame him and the GOP in 2026 and 2028. -
i don't think there is going to be a collision between America First wackos and businesses no one really expects Trump to deliver on his promises to hurt people; the promise to hurt people will sustain most MAGAs ICE will stage a couple of high profile raids, media will cover Trump's tough on immigration stand, they will get some "bad hombres", crack a few skulls, show some crying babies, and that will be it. Businesses gets to keep their low wage workers, America Firsters get to see some immigrants degraded, Trump will claim he is protecting white women from the dark rapists, and the media will serve it up to the masses; it will be a win/win/win/win

it's like giving a baby a hand grenade again; he didn't pull the pin the last time and blow everything up, so maybe he won't this time either

Latinos also tend to be culturally conservative, so to the extent that Dems are "out there" (both real and imagined), Latinos are not necessarily aligned with Dems. As soon as Latinos decided that being part of the ruling party was more important that the racism and the insults, the change was probably pretty easy Also, like Muslim men, a lot of Latino men don't want to vote for a woman.

Chicago in the Summer is pretty awesome as well, even if you are losing a lot of games -
Biden administration did more for working class whites than any administration in decades. Trump did nothing for them; will do nothing for them. It really is a pure messaging issue. Dems needs to build massive social media platforms to reach these people. I would suggest even if the Dems do nothing to help these people, just lie and say you did. Say you cut their taxes (whether you did or not); say you increased their SS checks (whether you did or not); say you brought in more jobs (whether you did or not) actual accomplishments mean nothing - it's all vibes, so don't focus on helping people, focus on lying to them

When Communist Michelle Obama tried to get kids to eat better, it was communism. When wacko RFK JR tries to get kids to eat better, it's all good.

I think infrequent voters and not politically engaged voters see "Trump" and think, hey that's the super successful guy from the apprentice, I wonder what he's been up to? I guess I'll vote for him.

Covid rules made it easier to vote, so people who did not vote in 2016 and would not vote in 2024, did vote in 2020 because ballots were sent to them, so they voted, but otherwise they don't vote because they cannot bothered, or both parties are the same, or it does not affect me, or whatever. no conspiracy theory is necessary; except for 2020 (63%), about 50-55% of eligible voters vote over the last 50 years 2028 will look like 2024 and 2016 and all the other elections (except one)
